I took out the old and replaced with the new. The hardest part was getting that tiny halogen bulb in that tiny little hole. It took longer to take the oven racks out and put them back in than to make the repairs.

Removed the two screws pulled the element out and unhooked the wires then used one of the included adapters to reinstall the new sensor then screwed the two screws back in to secure the sensor. Everything works fine now.

Replaced racks. Ordering parts was very easy,fast and received them in three days. Now all set for Thanksgiving. Really appreciate the service.

The feedback from other customers was excellent. It does come apart in layers, and it helped me to number each layer with a sticky note as I dismantled it. I also kept the screws for each layer right next to the layer, so that I knew how many screws each layer used. The only thing I can add is that the tabs to remove the innermost glass from the frame are on one of the shorter sides of the rectangular frame. The tabs are part of the frame, and when you bend them outward the side of the frame detaches and you can replace the glass easily. In addition to the #1 Philips screwdriver, all I needed was a pair of pliers to bend the tabs.

Remove the big back panel (5 phillips screws). Confirm voltage is present when attempting to start the oven by unplugging the PROPER ignitor. I say proper because initially I thought that the broil ignitor was the culprit. Very upper ignitor is the broiler ignitor and the next one down is the ignitor for the upper oven. You will notice that the ignitor plugs differ between broiler and oven. New ignitor should have a male end. Once I confirmed that voltage was present when attempting to turn on the upper oven and probing the ignitor terminal plug, I proceeded to remove the lower cover inside the oven (2 screws very front side) and remove the burner assembly. (First you'll need to remove the oven door, easy, just tilt out part way and slide it up and off of the rails). The ignitor is mounted to the burner assembly. It's inevitable, the 5/16 hex screws (x2) will absolutely strip out so make sure you have some extras on hand. Replace the ignitor, reinstall and you should be good to go! I've read that you shouldn't touch the element with your fingers as this will compromise the life of the ignitor. Good luck!

First I took the door off and outside to dump the glass in the trash which I had some Kevlar gloves so not to get cut. Removed the three screws on the bottom trim piece and the two on the sides remove the outside face glass next remove the four screws that hold the next glass. This glass is in a frame there is bent tab on one corner unbend open frame and install inner glass close frame rebend tab and reinstall all the parts.

Removed stove from slot in wall. Bent rear left leg would not unscrew due to bent metal bracket. Used hacksaw to cut out leg, then straightened metal bracket with small hammer and was able to screw new leg in and adjust height by using level on stove before reinserting stove its slot. Recheck level after pushing back in place and adjust front legs if necessary. If not for bent metal receiving bracket, would have taken much less time. Still easy tho. R'cvd part in two days. Very quick.

Easy just loosened screws took apart door, removed broken glass and installed new glass.It took longer to clean the stove! Lol!

removing the screws holding the burner together was impossible. they snapped off and I had to drill them out. that took the most time. after that it was 100% easy hookup. clean up of the burner was done with a wire brush. good quality products. thanks.

I had to use a dremel to grind the heads off the rusted in screws that hold the burners to the stove top then drill out the screws and use larger sheet metal screws to reassemble. Don't lift the stove top much with the burners attached or you'll bend the gas lines. Two screws inside the top oven hold the top down. Without the rusted screws it would be an easy job.

I see that I bought these parts almost two months ago, but I didn't have time to do the repair until last night. Last night, I couldn't get the door off. Maytag said to put it in the broil position and pull straight up. No go. I couldn't figure out what was holding it. I pulled on it several times but I have enough repair experience to know: DON'T FORCE IT. So, I looked all over on websites. Then, late last night I noticed two chrome brackets (nowhere mentioned) with a single screw on each. I removed those brackets and out came the door. It was past my bedtime. This afternoon, I took apart the door and cleaned it. Then, I put the handle on consistent with the diagram and noticed that the new handle REQUIRES A SHEET METAL SCREW, not a machine screw, as I had ordered. So, I measured the hole with a drill guide and used a wooden match as a depth gauge and got screws and washers that fit tight from Lowes. After that, it took a half hour to get it back together. It works fine now. . I originally installed this oven myself, too.
