KUIC15NRSS0 KitchenAid Ice Maker - Instructions

I determined it was the cutter grid because there was a broken wire on the existing one. They have to heat up and cut the ice. I ordered it and the part was at my house in 1 day. The cutter grid part was easy to install. The ice maker is working great now.

remove the front cover by removing two screws. then remove two screws with a nut driver on each side. unplug the wireing harness from the top of the unit (may need pliers for this) the pull the unit out. then slide the new unit in, connect the wireing harness, install two side screws, and install the front cover and wham you will have ice in about 30 minutes. thanks parts select. you were very easy to deal with

Simple, remove water reservoir (2 screws). Remove pump cover (1 screw). Remove 2 screws on bracket holding pump and unplug pump. My wiring was somewhat corroded and it took a bit of pulling to unplug. When you replace with new motor make sure to snap in new plug snug or it will not start up. Reassemble and away you go.Making ice no problem.

I removed the two screws that hold the shield in front of the grid and put them aside allowing access to the grid. I then removed the two screws that hold the grid in place. I unplugged the connector and then pulled it out. I reversed the process to reassemble and powered up the unit. I now have ice again. This whole process probably took me 15-20 minutes to do the install.

Removed old assembly by disconnecting 2 wiring harness connections and loosening 2 screws with nutdriver. Installed new assembly using same process. Had ice in about an hour. Very easy.

Removed lower plate on back of refridgerator and changed out fan. The video was great and made the repair a snap. Fan is quiet and no more overheating refridgerator.

Pretty much followed the how to video. Biggest pain was removing the screws to the bracket that houses the motor.

Before I began I unplugged the electrical at the wall outlet. 1. Unscrewed the 4 mounting screws. 2. disconnected electrical at the motor. 3. removed the assembly. 4. mounted the new motor on the assembly as described in the instructions. Installed the assembly and reconnected the electrical. Works great, easy job!

A bit of a tight squeeze for my hands, but very basic as I followed the instructions and watched the installation video. I only had the fridge unplugged for about 20 min..The fridge is as quiet, as it was brand new. The only tool I needed was the 1/4 inch socket wrench. A portable lantern was very helpful as well. Runs very quiet now, like new! Thx!!!

Fast after a little help from a friend

I called the 800 number and the lady was great to work with and helped me thru all the order process and confirmed the numbers. She also told me she would try to get the order out that day which she did and I had the part two days later. When it arrived I went to the web site and reviewed the video and went to work and all went as the video said. Thanks for the help and if i need another part I will visit your site or call.

I watched the film on installing and taking out. Step by step. easy.

Unplugged the refrigerator then removed two vertical screws on the very back back of the control panel (the ones with the washers). Do not remove the four other vertical screws in the panel. The front plastic plate on control panel snaps off and there are two horizontal screws under the plate. Remove them and the control panel will drop down allowing access to the light switch. Unplug the two wires (one black and one white) from the old switch. Discard the old switch, snap the new one into place and reconnect the two wires. Snap the front plastic plate back into place, plug in the refrigerator and you are done! Problem solved with a new $16.00 switch and saved at least $75.00 or more from an appliance repair call. Repair was so simple, I didn't even need instructions. Removed old fan with motor, installed new one, installed harness that converted plugs, done. Saved hundreds of dollars doing the repair myself.

I pulled the back panel covering the fan and condenser off the refrigerator (just a few screws) and disconnected the fan which was a simple plug. The fan was held in place with three screws which I took out. I pulled out the old fan and replaced it with the new one, three screws to secure it in place and reconnect the fan plug. Then simply replace the back panel and plug the frig in. the fan silently started right up. Good as new and no service call! :)
