Lifted the top of the dryer removed two screws and pulled the front of the Dryer forward. Slipped the new belt over the drum and over the motor pulley.
Pushed the front back in place and snapped the top of the dryer down and the job was complete.
I thought the part would take three days to get here.
It was delivered the day after I ordered it.

not sure if it was the fuse or the limit thermostat because for $15 I re[laced both, just in case. quick and easy and the online video was awesome. it took longer to fit it back together than it took to take it apart and replace the componants.

The hardest thing was getting to the part once I was to that process it went really well

It was easy . Romove the top then the front cover then remove the drum ,take the drive belt off before removing the drum .the element board is on the left lower conner , remove the bolts and wires take photo of disasembly for referance then remove the old parts and replace with new .assemble the dryer .make sure that you unplug the unit before you start you repair .

Online research ... found PartSelect ... pointed to High Limit Thermal Fuse being most likely culprit ... bought Limit Thermostat just in case to save shipping ... turns out probably didn't need it, but replaced while the heater assembly was out in open. Only had to remove bottom "kick-plate," then Lint Duct Assembly (good thing ... was half full with debris) ... then heating element ... total 11 screws ... easy ... half time research, half work.

I had to disassemble the whole thing and figure out what I needed. The new guide wheel and belt installed easy. The only hard part was trying to figure out how the dryer went back together.

I'm work in biomed/maintenance field, so I'm used to taking things apart. This was the 1st time I've tackled somthing like this. If your reasonably handy you could do this too. It only cost $30 to repair which was much less than buying a refurbed one.

After reading about the things that can cause a dryer not to heat - clogged vent leading to thermal overload, heating element burned out, I took a look at the vents to make sure they were clean. The vent door on the outside of the house was frozen shut, sealed by frozen lint. After popping off the lower panel (2 nuts) and taking out the heating element panel (another 2 nuts) I visually inspected the "spring" heating wire for a break and didn't see one. I checked the thermal fuse for continuity and it was open, so I ordered a new one. After it arrived, it took 10 mins to get the drer back together. Easy repair, recommend doing it yourself and getting the parts from these guys because they're so quick and the prices are good. For $50 I could have had the complete heating assembly if I needed it - which is less than a call out from Sears or an appliance company by itself.

It was a rather simple repair. First turn off power to machine as you will be working near live electrical connections. Remove screw on bottom front pannel then remove screws from top front pannel and remove screws that hold top down in front. Note that machine does not need to be removed from laundry closet as long as you can access the front of the machine. Remove lint tube at bottom then unhook wires from door swithes noting which ones are to be connected to which connectors. (write them down with location). remove front drum support screws (4) and then disconnect drum drive belt but extending spring roller bracket and lifting belt off motor drive pulley. At this point lift drum out of cabnet to give full access to the back of machine. Using snap ring pliers remove lock ring from front of roller shaft and slide roller off. Don't lose the spring washer. Clean all parts and vacuum inside of dryer to remove all access lint that has accumilated that could cause a fire. Remember safety first. When all is clean, lubricate roller shaft with lightweight lithium grease and reinstall roller with spring washer and snap ring. Reassemble dryer in reverse order of disassembly. It was a 30-40 minute project including cleaning time.

Followed the procedure from the video attached to the part in the web site. Everything went smooth. Did a major clean out of the cabinet, motor and vents before I put it all together.

The video on the site was very helpful in completing the repair. The one suggestion I woul make is to check the actual heating element before ordering the Thermal Fuse. In my case the new fuse did not work because there was a break in the actual heatng coils. I replaced the heating element and it works fine now.

Remove front bottom panel, remove fuse, replace with new fuse, replace front cover

Need two to pull the drum.Not heavy just hard to handle. Pulleys came out easy went back easy. Belt wanted to twist butfound that out quickly when it was running and making a noise.Took it off and put on the inside towardthe back of the dyer. No more noise. Now you have to put your hand on the dyer to see if it is running (sooooooo quite) Hope this helps.

Took off the two lower front screws, Then the screws to take off the door and frame. Then the lint trap. Finally took out the drum. BOY WAS MY DRYER DIRTY WITH LINT! Vacumned it all out and washed the filter and filter housing with soap. Found out that I needed tension wheel also. Ordered that. Replaced the wheel, that was the hardest part. Need to take off this part like a "spring washer" and put it back on with the new wheel in place. Then placed the belt on the drum, belt on the tension, screwed the drum holder frame on, screwed the door frame on, screwed the lower panel on and it works great. By the way I am a female and if I can do it anyone can.

This is a gas dryer, propane. My wife and I live in a remote area. So field mice are abundant. We keep a plug over our dryer vent in order to keep any inquisitive mice out. My wife forgot to remove the vent cover and the dryer stopped working after about minutes. We read about other dryers having this problem and apparently the fuse (non-resettable) tripped. I replaced the fuse and it works fine. Thank You Partsselect.
