door wasn't latching and started its cycle before door was shut
I just followed another persons directions that was in the system already. He had a great idea by taking the new switches out of the new latch and replacing them with the old ones from the bad latch. The old switches are still good and it made for a simple repair. This way you didn't have to disconnect the wire from the switches and now you have two new switches on hand. The old switch had a burnt spot on the connector.

The dishwasher door latch was broken and would not hold the door closed.
I unplugged the dishwasher under the sink. I opened the dishwasher up and took out the 12 screws holding the inside door facing on. I gently moved the door facing down towards the dishwasher to reveal the door locking mechanism at the top of the door. I unplugged the mechanism and plugged in the new one. I put the door back together the same way I had taken it apart. In all it took about 12 minutes. Works like a charm.
