Dishwasher would not fill with water
Remove the lower panel by taking out the 2 screws on top and 2 at the bottom of the panel. To diagnose the problem, verify that there is water supplied from the valve under the sink to the water supply valve under the DW. This can be done by turning off the valve under the sink, disconnecting the copper supply line under the DW then turning on the valve under the sink to see if water passes through the line.

The float switch is located on the left front (as you face the DW). This is activated by the float in the tub. Check to be certain that the float is not restricted. The contact point on the switch is a spring loaded plunger. It should depress as the float rises and pop back out as the float returns to its low point.

Turn off the circuit breaker for the DW. To remove the switch, pull off the two electric leads from the switch. Mark the top lead with a piece of tape. Then remove the one philips screw. Replace the switch by reversing the procedure. Note that you have aligned the float contact point with the float.

Adjustable rack had broken
Simply had to replace the clips in the correct position. Would have been a five minute job if I had noticed which way around the old parts went before removing them from the dishwasher to find replacements. It's amazing hoe many permutations there were before it all fit together perfectly.

bottom of silverware basket broke
received new basket without a basket handle; had to remove handle from old basket & attach it to new basket; took 2 separate tries to remove old handle & each try took about an hour; used screwdriver & pliers but had to be careful not to break handle; eventually used dimes to pry open & hold the attached sections of the handle open in order to free the handle from the old basket; we sure hope the new basket lasts a lot longer than the 2 years that the old basket lasted before it broke.

Dishwasher door was slamming down, heavy to close
Unscrewed bottom panel. I could see right spring in proper position, left spring lying on floor, and broken linkage. Ordered part from partselect.com. To install, had to unscrew dishwasher attachment to counter, loosen leveling legs, pull it out a bit, then could replace linkage and reattach spring, retighten leveling legs, then push back in and replace screws and bottom panel.

The dishwasher was not getting dishes clean
We had tried to use dish washer cleaners, and they would work for a time, but we started spending more money on cleaner than we wanted. I ordered and then I replaced the lower spray arm. It took a little effort to get the top screw off, due to hard water deposits. The new one went on very easily, just screwed right in like the old one. It's working great and I really don't mind not getting a new one or paying for a service call!!!

My old silverware basket was wearing through on the bottom and silverware was sticking through
Replaced with the new basket. However, the part had been replaced, and I do not like the new setup. One basket has been replace with 2 that are hooked together. Each basket has a cover, but it covers the whole side, not just a part. In my old basket, I had a part of the basket with a cover that could hold plastic lids and measuring spoons that can easily wash out of the basket and hit the heating element on the bottom. My "fix" was to remove both lids and use the lid from the old basket to cover one part of the new basket. It's not very satisfactory, as it is not hinged and had to be removed and tucked in each time!

Two clips holding the adjustable shelf had broken off.
I didn't know how to put in the new one clips until I looked up a picture of them in place, on-line. Once I saw the picture, it was a matter of clipping the new ones in place.

After 22 years of virtually trouble -free service, I could tell by the sound that something was wrong. Water fill ran too long. Float not stuck. Checked and found float switch stuck.
Very simple. Remove bottom panels. Remove one screw holding old switch in place. Move wire connections from old switch to new one. Cleaned and lubed the switch actuator. Mounted new switch. Checked that float and actuator worked freely. Left bottom panels off till I ran a load - just to be sure all was OK. Remount bottom panels...Done! P.S. Don't forget to turn power off to dishwasher any time you work on it!!

Dishwasher tub wheel kept coming off of the axel pin
I reversed the tub wheel, cut off the protruding flanges so that the end of the axel pin was exposed. Then using a small socket I placed a split washer over the end of the pin, used the socket to hold the washer in place and tapped it into place with a hammer. Note there is a grove around the circumference of the pin which holds the split washer. This locked the tub wheel onto the pin and it still rolled freely. Unconventional but it worked great.

Removed top retaining piece by turning clockwise to remove spinning spray arm from bottom assembly. Removed the 6 retaining screws from the primary screen pump cover and lifted up. Removed filter and the four pronged piece that spins with the filter. Removed the 3 hex head screws that held the secondary filter assembly & pump cover in place. Removed center screw that held the bottom black plastic piece just above the secondary filter bottom. Inspected the cutter, then started reassembly in reverse for the replacement of new parts and filters.

Dishwasher wont turn on. Difficult to open
It has been a while since I replaced the handle so I may miss some steps but it was easy to do.

To change the Handle. Turn off the power. Open the front door and undo the torx screws from around the door. Lift up the panel. Remove the broken handle and lugs and insert the new handle.(Their may have been a couple of screws on the latching mechanism that had too be removed to replace the handle)

After replacing the handle the door would open and shut like a new one but the dishwasher still would not turn on. On further inspection I found a fractured joint on a relay on the control board . Resoldered it and it is working great.

The delivery of the part from Parts Select was great,I got the part next day in California.

Both door springs corroded and broke. Linkage connectors broke also.
After pulling dishwasher out both springs easily installed using plastic connectors on the bottom left and right sides. Pliars were used to stretch the springs. It took fifteen minutes at most.
