Old dishrack was rusting apart
First you must understand that the end cap is not a solid piece. The plastic facing you is wrapped over the piece behind it. The separation may be obscured by age. Wedge thin bladed screwdriver into the outside edge of end cap at the bid point, a sturdy hunting knife will probably work better. When you hit the seam, pry it apart and fold it back. Unwrap the part and repeat on other side. The dishracks will easily slide out and in.

Tub rollers worn and falling off the mounting pins
The most difficult part is learning how to unsnap the plastic retainers at each end of the steel sliders on each side of the dish rack. Push the end caps to the outside and the plastic inserts will snap open and slide off the ends of the rails in two pieces (note how they were oriented so you can replace them later). The caps must be removed from both ends of each rail. Slide out the basket. slide the rails out. Pull the old rollers off the pins. Place the new rollers into position. A smart rap with the palm of your hand should snap the rollers onto the pins. If you have done it correctly, the rollers will not pull off the mounting pins. You could also place a small block of wood against the roller and use your hand or a small hammer or weight to snap the pins into place. Assemble in reverse order.

Latch handle broke
Removed the screws to the front panel along the inside of the door. Replaced the broken part with the new one. The only glitch was I needed a screwdriver to pry one end of the new part to seat into the hole where its installed. Replaced the screws. Job complete in 15 mins.

No water from rotating lower spray arm or center spindle; soap dispenser lid would not open.
Had service man: stated I would need new motor/pump at $400 complete. I didn't like the interior of new dishwashers. Nothing to lose, so I verified that the motor was working; reviewed short PartSelect video. Ref: very helpful PartSelect assembly diagrams with parts list. THANKS PS! Removed two dish racks (top rack: extend fully and flip the roller-keeper clips. Pull rollers and rack-pins apart) Then I started taking the pump apart all the way down to the pump base (fits into tub with seal - did not replace that seal). Very intuitive - some parts are tight and must be encouraged to come apart; take care of seals and o-rings; take notes of sequence if necessary. Look for parts requiring replacement. Unscrew Spray Tower Lower Extension Nozzle and lift off Spray Arm and two lower spray arm seals - check seals for wear. Unscrew pencil-like Spray Arm Support Nut. Cause: I found a totally-clogged Pump Housing Filter, a bit of steel wool about the size of my thumb (same size as water supply opening in bottom), and small piece of broken glass. Cleaned all parts coated with lime; new Pump Housing Filter (could not clean adequately). Cleaned the screens underside of filter support (difficult) with brush and wire. Replaced o-rings for Wash Impeller and Drain Impeller as a matter of principle. Only alignment requirement is with bottom water supplly hole. Everything works like new now! Recommendation: clean Pump Housing Filter annually.

end cap for roller guide and latch clip had been missing for a while and I had improvised with packing tape and wire. I wish I had known how easy it would be.
had to fiddle around just a bit to look at the others and see how these fit in. No tools were required - just snapped into place once I figured them out.

Grinding noise from Dishwasher
Excellent site. When the dishwasher started making a loud grinding sound, i thought "oh great -- now I'll have to buy a new one". After searching the internet (I just entered the model number of my Maytag dishwasher), Partsselect.com came up in the search results. I read several postings from previous customers which described the same problem I was having... followed their step-by-step instructions and was able to disassemble the lower washer arm and find the culprit -- a broken wash impeller. Ordered the parts, they arrived within a couple of days, spent 15 mins putting everything back together and I'm now good to go! THANKS PARTS SELECT!!!!! I owe somebody a free lunch!

Dishwasher door leaking severely
I decided to do some regular maintenance on the dishwasher. The spray arm and components have been caked from our hard water and soap. I unwittingly broke the seal on a portion of the spray arm to try and clean. I did not know it was sealed, thought it could snap. The broken seal created a high pressure stream that pushed the door enough to let water leak out.
Replacing it was easy. Unscrewed the plastic nut, lifted out spray arm and disc, unsnapped arm from disc and replaced new one. Leak is now fixed. This part was much much cheaper than i imagined and brought new life to our dishwasher. Best.Store.Ever.

Top Shower Hose developed a leak
I removed the four screws that hold the front kick plates on. Then, I removed the hose clamp (on the right side of the pump that secures the top shower hose assembly to the pump assembly. Then I pulled the dishwasher out, and pulled out the four black snap clips that hold the insulation in place. I then folded the insulation back and reached inside the dishwasher to disconnect the hose assembly. On the top spray arm is a nut that is easily removed without any special tools.
Be sure to save the rubber washer unless you order a new one along with the top shower hose.
Overall, an easy fix. Saved about $100.00 by doing it myself.

Broken rail stops
removed old and broken and replaced. The best part was, the turn around time from partselect. The fastest delivery of anything I ordered that part a 2 in the afternoon and had it the NEXT day, without specifiying any extra rush shipping. Right part too! Amazing job! Thanks

No water pressure from lower wash arm
Never having repaired a dishwasher before, I disassembled everything I dared to until I found the root of the problem--part of the impeller had broken into several little bits. It wasn't apparent where the pieces came from, but the on-line diagrams and product photos helped. The broken impeller didn't want to come off the shaft, so I just crunched it up with a pair of vise grips. That seemed to be the gentlest solution for the pump bearings. The bits of impeller also took out the pump housing, which I could have ordered with the impeller had I been more observant. [insert four more days of washing by hand here] Inspect all parts for damage and clean out all stray chunks of food and plastic before reassembling!
