The repair was simplicity itself. Remover the sprayer arm, removed the torx screws, replaced the seal, and reversed the process of disassembly. When I found out where the dishwasher was leaking from, I called KitchedAid and was ready to replace the overflow float. The part was 42.00 and wouldn't have fixed the problem. When I found this web site and read other peoples experience, I checked the pump seal, and it was obvious that it had blown out. That saved me a Loy of time and money.

My husband took the dishwasher apart three times, it was a little frustrating, but was worth the $50 part because it made his wife, very, very happy! A dishwasher operating is on the top 5 list of favorite electronic items in our house.

Watched "Steve" install the drain and wash impeller kit and then I did it.

screw it in then hook up the hose.

1. Turn off the electrical switch that powers the dishwasher. 2. Open the door of the dishwasher and find the two phillips head screws that secure the top of the dishwasher to the kitchen counter. 3. Remove the screws. 4. Gently move the machine side-by-side a bit while pulling it out onto the kitchen tile (be careful, the water-supply hose, electric cord, and dishwasher drain hose may not be long enough to allow you to pull it out very far - don't break or kink the hoses). 5. Remove (pull off) the black plastic fastener located on the bottom/rear of each side of the dishwasher. 6. Remove the old surround. 7. Lay the new wrap in place and secure with the two plastic fasteners. 8. Push back into place, secure the two screws, check your hoses.

Turned off electric to machine.Removed water with shop vac, Removed lower panel, removed drain hose from check valve and garbage disposal. using shop vac removed blockage from drain hose. Reconnected hose turned on electric cycled dishwasher. Didn't work. Turned off electric, removed water, removed basket, sprayer arm, pump cover, used a six point deep socket to hold impeller while removing 1/4 in. screw. Removed the impeller and found the problem.The lower impeller shaft is broke. removed separator, chopper blade and spring, removed pump cover and broken drain impeller and lower seal. Cleaned all old parts and installed new drain pump kit. Replaced spray arm , basket . Turned electric on, cycled the machine one time. Checked for leaks, replaced lower panels. Put away tools. Your video was very helpful. Your service was great. I received the parts the next day after ordering them. thank you. thank you.

We followed the excellent video until we couldn't remove the outlet impeller because the motor shaft was not being held by the failed impeller. We drilled small holes around the impeller shaft until we could break off the upper part of the pump shell. Then we could hold the motor shaft with a vice-grip pliers by squeezing the shaft of the remaing impeller piece. We then removed the retaining screw and the rest of the impeller. Then evrything went well by following the video. There was still a bit of doubt because we discarded more old parts then expected but the machine now works well and we see no leaks.

I could not find a 90 degrees 1 inch car wrench and by them the impeller head wish is plastic was all run down so nothing will hold it, finally, I heat up a flat screw driver and cut the impeller near the head whit the help of a hammer , and them I could grab it with a pressure wrench and loose the screw up. finally the fix when fine and is working good. the parts are just the ones I need it. Thank you.

Received new rollers promptly as ordered. Removed the old ones by snapping them off and simply snapped the new ones on. Took less than 5 minutes and job was a complete success. Wife happy and I am safe for now

Very easy. Slide the dishwasher out a few inches, install spring per the good instructions, and slide the dishwasher back. Service was amazing. Part arrived just over 24 hours after I made the on-line order. I will use Part Select for all my future appliance parts needs.

I tried going online to get some diagnostic help and never found a site that had a step by step help plan. I then did a little reading on different sites, to eliminate and perhaps diagnose my problem I use epoxy to glue the impeller(which spun freely) to the screw and it held long enough for me to see how it worked. I surfed sites to find the least expensive drain and wash impeller kit. One site had a cheaper price but I chose Parts Select because of the shipping so the end result was the best results for me. I am not sure but the estimated time was 1.7 or 1.8 days delivery that I did not believe would happen. When I received the parts and did the repair my final time from ordering was less than a day and a half. I could not have done the job myself without the video because the parts were very different. My biggest obstacle, other than my ignorance, was some sort of chemical on the screw that would not allow me to loosen it. I used a dremel to cut the head off and then a torch to heat the stub so I could remove it. After I received the kit I saw a chemical on the screw threads so online research told me heat loosens the chemical. My dishwasher is around 25 years old,I have worked on it three times now and replacing the impeller was the most difficult task to date. Should it last and develop another problem I will go to parts select first and start my quest.

My dishwasher quit working the week before Thanksgiving, and to say the least, my wife was quite concerned. I did not know what was wrong, until I found the info on this website, including a how to repair video. I watched the repair video on the website when I ordered the parts. Other than my wash arm being different from what was shown in the video, it went exactly as shown in the video. I'm glad that the video, and the bag with the parts told me that there are fewer parts than originally were installed on the original. The parts looked like they had been redesigned a little, and were easier to assemble. Overall, I will be getting any repair parts I need for other appliance repairs in the future from here. My model was DU7600XS0. I disassembled according to the video and the parts diagram here. I found a piece of metal, a pebble, and a wrecked drain impeller. I cleaned out all the debris and began reassembly. I found that the chopper blade shipped with this kit has a lip and will not fit over the metal drain impeller sleeve on this model. It needs to, or else it will not screw together properly and the impeller will not be able to turn. My old one was undamaged, so I used that instead. Also, the large black wash impeller has a shaft that is longer than the original part and because of that, it would not screw on. Again, the original wash impeller was fine, so I used the old one. I replace the gaskets and screwed everything else back together. It works great now. No water is left after the cycle anymore and the sound it makes is back to normal. Money well spent on this kit!
