This is a belt for your vacuum. It rotates the brush roll assembly that is used to collect dust, hair, and other small debris. The belt is located and installed in various places, depending on your model. Because it is constantly working when your vacuum is running, the belt is a commonly replaced part. It is sold individually, however, we recommend buy two at once to keep an extra on hand.

Switch would not stay on.

The replacement switch required bending the contacts 90 degrees so that the switch slid into the slot properly.
The female end of the connected also required sliding back the insulation to be able to depress the ( very small ) tab that released the connection.
The vacuum is less than two years old. Maybe I should have ordered another switch as a back up.
By the way, this is an excellent vacuum for the price. Read more...
