Had a piece of string get caught under head. Released string and unit would not start. Ordered new motor, still no go. What could be wrong?

If that does not help then the issue is likely to be with the Gear & Spindle, part number FIX12530718. my b&d trimmer won't turn on tried other battries no go opened housing find nothing wrong online facebook said this is most likely problem but no way to test. is this common problem and likely fix? switch part no. 90569937 thanks

Hi John, thank you for the question. The switch for your model is not available separately. Make sure you are using the compatible battery and check the contacts of the battery on the unit. If they are clean, try turning the head by hand. If something is binding up, the motor is shot, or no power is getting to the motor, then the issue is an internal failure, unfortunately.
