Product Description

This part is a replacement recess trim for your refrigerator. It is the trim that runs around the perimeter of the ice/water dispenser. You will want to replace the recess trim if it is cracked or damaged. This part is black in color and is sold individually. It is approximately 16 inches long and 10 inches wide. It is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Ice dispenser on front door melted and needed replacement
This model refrigerator has a tendency for the water line ( through door) to freeze up, in my attemp to accelerat the defrosting in melted the the flap, the dispenser housing and on removing the front trim broke some of the tabs. Pulled off the trim , used a small screw driver to lift the tabs on the top of the electronics board, I then p ulled off the three wire sockets ( lift the plastic tab first) all three are different sizes so cannot be reinstalled incorrectly, unscrewed the dispenser housing , removed the spring for reuse. Reverse this process, don't forget the spring, order the front tim as a precaution,
