I bought a new lite for my freezer and it still don't work, what is the problem

Freezer light does not come on when door is opened. Bought new light and it still does not come on. Ran diagnostic test and light comes on. So what would my issue be?

Thank you for your question. If you have just replaced the light bulb and it will not turn on, you will need to check the light socket for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting. Before removing and checking this part, unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. When testing the light socket, test between each terminal and the corresponding contact. If the continuity test fails, you will need to replace the light socket. We hope this helps!
