One burner ignites the other doesn't. Does that mean it is the top spark ignitor? This is a jenn-air where their are 2 burners in a tray

No spark when I tried to light the burners
1) remove the cook top tray by lifting up on the back of it and gently pull it backwards 2) now that the cooktop tray unit is removed, remove two screws from each side and lift the drip pan off of the base tray 3) use pliers to gently pull down on the metal clip that holds the wire to the top burner igniter of both burners 4) remove t

wo screws that hold the igniter in place in gently remove it 5) place the new igniter in through the hole, and reattach the two screws that hold it in place. 6) I broke one of the wires and had to replace the spark igniter set ( wire harness). This was done easily by removing two screws replacing igniter set, then replacing the screws. 7) reattach the wires to the bottom metal prong of the top burner igniter. Do this for both burners. 8) gently set the drip tray back into the lower tray. Be careful to line up the tubing which will carry gas to the burner with the holes in the lower tray. 9) replace two screws on each side that hold the drip tray to the lower tray 10) gently replace the entire tray unit, being careful to first line up the metal prongs with the holes in the front of the unit. You should now be ready to cook again!

Rusted gas burners
Removed 4 burners from cooking module.A hammer works from the bottom of the burner to loosen up all the rust.Cleaned all the rust off the burner plate. Before installing the new burners. I filled the inside bottom cavity with muffler repair paste from Auto Zone.It comes in a plastic container. The purpose is to keep the burner from rusting

over time when hot and exposed to air and failing again.Installed the burners in the pan and coated the exposed metal with same repair paste.Let the unit dry for 2 days.Installer ignitor parts.Installed gas feed tubes, Ground wire from both ignitor base screws to bottom cover screw. The purpose is to assure a good ground to base.Re-connected feed wire to ignitor base plugThe biggest cause of module failure is rust. Placed units back in the unit and no problems. All four burners fired right up.$190.vs $600 new modules. This will probably last for years.Jen Air is not going to be very happy that I won't be buying their whole module replacement package @ $300 each every three years. If you pay 3 grand for a cooktop it should last longerThanks guys for making individual parts available. It takes a little time but, in the long run, it's worth it!

old and cracked igniters
removed cook top tray, inverted it and unscrewed igniters. installed new ones but had to straighten metal tip ever so slightly to install. once in place, re-adjusted tip(think of spark plugs because that's all they are) Because of cook top age, decided to replace burners as well. To unscrew well seasoned and rusty burners, just tap on the

Top burner heads and igniters on slide in gas stove\oven were rusted and corroded
We did not do the repairs ourselves. We hired a gas company technician to exchange the new head and igniter for old. We were surprised that the burner heads did not come with the screws necessary to complete the job. The technician had to locate screws in his personal collection.

Two igniters were worn out, would not light the gas.
Removed the burners, detached the two wires, unscrewed the two screws on the old igniters, and put the new ones in, screwed them up, connected the wires, and put the burners back in place. Nothing to it.

Igniter not working
Since it was a sealed burner I had to take the Sealed Burner Cartridge out and turn upside down. I removed about 7 screws to remove the back cover to expose the two burner ignitors. After that it was a simple replacement with one small screw.

Wrong side
Looking at this unit, the original one that came with the stove, had that llittle metal ring in the center of the igniter had it on the opposite side of the hold down backet. At first the top of the igniter did not want to go into the hole, but after a little wigling and pushing, it went in.
Thats what happens ith "aftermaket parts.
All okay now......Thanks for the oppertunity tto review your products.
