The bake element burned out; it needed to be replaced.
I took the old element off and accidently pulled the clip off that hooks onto the element. We trimmed the wire off about 1/4 inch and opened the original clip, sanded it down for a good connection, then pinched it back into place. Worked perfectly. Just be careful when pulling off the old element. Make sure all parts are securely attached . Fixing it ourselves was much cheaper.

bake element burnt out
unscrewed old part - held onto wires so they wouldn't be pulled into stove, attached new part 5 minutes top!

Baking element quit working...could not bake anything in oven
Followed the instructions. Unplugged stove, Un-did the screws on the plate, pulled out the element to expose the connectors. Used the pliers to pull off the two wires (hot and neutral) from the element. Cut the ground wire. Used the new ground screws provided with the new baking element to reattach the plate to the back wall of the oven. Done! Oven works great now. Very pleased customer!
