This is an authentic OEM replacement part that has been sourced directly from DeWalt. A thermal relief valve is an important part in the safe operation of your pressure washer. The valve regulates the amount of pressure in the pump and line at any given time. When you are idling your pressure washer the water in the pump will start to overheat. When the pressure builds to a certain level the thermal relief valve will be forced open, which allows the hot, high pressure water to escape. New water then fills the pump and cools it down, once it reaches a certain temperature the thermal relief valve will close. This valve helps prevent serious damage to you or your equipment. The thermal valve relief is sold individually. You will need basic hand tools for installation.
