This is a genuine Bostitch replacement part that fits all BT brad nailers and all S32 staplers. If trigger leaks air or if tool misfires often, try replacing trigger valve. This kit contains one (1) each of: valve assembly (including both O-rings), lubricant, spring pin punch, and repair instructions. Please note that two (2) O-rings are included but can also be purchased separately as parts # 106967 and # 86459. O-rings are easily damaged and worn out, causing tool issues, so it's a good idea to have a backup or two on hand. Only a hammer is needed for this repair.

This genuine OEM trigger valve in your nailer or stapler works in conjunction with the head valve. When you press the trigger valve, it creates a pressure difference between the air reservoir and the cylinder and causes the head valve to open and release compressed air to drive the nail or staple into the material you are working on. It is commonly found in the handle or grip area of the tool. If the trigger becomes stiff or difficult to press, the trigger valve may be damaged. To replace the trigger valve, begin by removing the magazine and retainer caps for the nosepiece guard. Take out the nosepiece from the housing and remove the roll pins securing the piston. Pull back the plastic guard on the housing, detach the strap securing the piston, and extract the piston from your tool. You can access and remove the trigger valve by taking out the O-ring and the pin that holds the trigger in place. Before reassembling the housing, remember to apply lubricant to the O-rings.

This item is an authentic Bostitch replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with pneumatic nailers. The trigger valve works with the plunger to shift pressurized air above the piston to drive it downward and to allow pressure to move back below the piston to keep in the up position. It is a genuine OEM part which is designed for Bostitch nailers. The head valve is one of the major components in a nailer. When the trigger is depressed the plunger rises up and the compressed air travels to the piston head. If the lower body of the head valve is damaged, this will provide an identical replacement for the original part that was installed on a new unit. Make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams for your model to ensure the proper replacement procedure. One durable rubber lower body head valve is included. You will need a screwdriver to take the housing apart in order to perform this repair.
