This starter rope is an authentic Southland replacement part and is compatible with handheld blowers. When the starter rope is pulled the starter pulley spins and engages the motor pulley to start the engine. This part is made of nylon cord and is sold individually. The handle starter (part number: A101339) is sold separately. For installation, you will need a screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers to aid you.

My leaf blower would not run!

1. Take leaf blower apart. Separate the halves of the blower.
2. Remove the nut that holds the flywheel on. Pull flywheel off shaft and inspect wheel. Noticed key in flywheel is broken off, allowing the flywheel to spin on shaft.
3. In stall new flywheel making sure the keyway in wheel matches up with Groove in shaft. Torque flywheel nut to 190 inch pounds.
4. Reassemble blower back together. Prime motor and start blower to make sure it will run and operate like normal. Read more...
