This is a reversible slice and shred disc for a food processor. It is placed underneath the food chute and slides onto the disc stem inside the processing bowl. This disc can be used for slicing and shredding meats, veggies, fruits, cheese, and much more. To assemble, lock the bowl onto the base, slide the disc stem onto the center post of the base (with the preferred side facing up - slicing or shredding), push the disc onto the disc stem. Lock the cover onto the bowl, and plug the cord in. Place ingredients into the feed tube and use the food pusher to push the food down. Once you are finished, disassemble all the pieces, clean immediately to prevent food from hardening. The disc can be washed in the top rack of the dishwasher, or gently by hand, being careful of the sharp edges. This OEM disc is round and stainless steel, and sold individually.
