Both mounting screws were galled to the burner tube.
Both mounting screws broke off when I attempted to remove them. After reading the narratives on this site, I expected at least one of them to break. In hind sight, if I had applied a little olive or vegetable oil to the screws and allowed them to sit, they might have broke free without breaking. I don't know about using any other kind of oil in the oven. Even with proper cleaning, that smell might be difficult to get rid of. Since both screws broke, I had to remove the burner tube and drill out the stuck portions of the old screws. I got lucky and managed not to damage the threads. The wire and connector for the old igniter were not hung up inside the oven wall and came out freely when pulled upon. Once the new igniter was installed and the oven re-assembled everything worked fine.

igniter no longer ignnted
followed instructions, which were incorrect. plug disconnect is in back of range, so range must be pulled out from wall. as everyone said, one of the 2 screens mounting the igniter broke very easily, so just replaced one and is working fine. pasrtsselect is a standup company and will recommend.

Broiler worked but oven didn't.
Removed oven door then the bottom tray. Remove the igniter with 2 small screws. Pull the cord from where it was fed. It's a simple plug and then reassemble. Plug and play. Saved the ridiculous price of a service call and cleaned my oven while I was at it. Total time was probably 10 minutes. Cleaning the oven took a little longer.
