This part is the replacement fan switch or downdraft vent fan knob for your range hood. It measures approximately 2 inches by 1 inch. The fan switch allows you to turn on the range hood fan when it is actuated, which allows the fan to dissipate odors from the cooktop. If, when you hit the button to turn on the fan, nothing happens, then you may need to replace the fan switch. To remove the switch, pull it straight off from its post and replace with the new switch.
