It is normal for the inner parts of the regulator to wear and have to be repaired over time. Before beginning this repair make sure you release the pressure from the air tank.

Does this kit fit the P.C. C2002 Type 3 compressor?
For model number Porter Cable C2002 Type 3
Hello Robert, thank you for writing. No, the part you had chosen is not compatible for your model. The model number C2002 Type 3 does not have a repair kit. You would need to replace the Manifold Kit part FIX10108610. We have an installation video for you to access. We hope to hear from you soon.
How do you know what type (1,2,3 etc) the c2002 you have?

Sometimes type numbers are displayed in parentheses, like "(Type 1)" or "(0601916460)". However, our website often lists "Type 1" or "Type 0" for the first redesign of a tool model in a type series, even if the manufacturer does not list "Type 1" or "Type 0" on the name plate. This makes it easier for our customers and us to tell the first type apart from the rest. So if you do not see a type code to the right or bottom of the model number, then you may have a type 0.
