What is the length of this shaft?

I want to extend the straight shaft so I have more reach with my limb trimmer attachment ..will this work on Ryobi expand it shaft?

Is this part for lower shaft to in stall weedwack part at the connection

Adapted the expandIt string trimmer to hedge trimmer
Disconnect battery from string trimmer. Locate the expandIt push pin on the straight shaft of trimmer Press down and pull out the stribg trimmer head Align and Insert the hedge teimmer attachment head and push in till the locking pin clicks out Re insert battery and ready to go.
