Product Description

If your oven isn’t heating properly or baking evenly, this lower bake element could be the fix you need. It’s the part that heats from the bottom of your oven, helping cook food thoroughly. Baking element burned out
Remove 2 Phillips screws in back of oven. Disconnect power, spade leads from old element. Reconnect leads to new element and replace 2 screws and turn on breaker and test.

frozen phillips screw preventing the instalation of new oven heating coil
get the screw out. snap in new coil which I had. Broke the rusted screw with a hammer on the screw driver

the two fastening screws were difficult to remove.
The two screws were 30 years old and somewhat corroded/difficult to remove. Sprayed WD-40 & left overnight. Screws then came out OK, New bake element then easy to install - worked fine when power restored. Note: Suggest new screws be part of the purchase package in case old screws get damaged during removal. Good price and great delivery. Thanks! Bill

Original element burned out.
After removing the racks and turning off the circuit breaker, I removed the two screws holding the element plate to the back of the oven. (this was the most difficult part as the screws were a bit hard to loosen at first.) I easily pulled the element forward until the wires were out enough to disconnect from the element. No tools were ne eded to pull the connectors off of the element and push them onto the new element. By simply reversing the sequence I had the element back in place and ready to use. I did spend some time cleaning the bottom of the oven - sweeping up the loose debris and wiping it well with a general purpose cleaner while the element was out of the way, but that's because we don't usually make use of the self-cleaning option.
