Product Description

This part is the replacement motor shaft seal for your stand mixer. It is black in color and is approximately ½ inch in diameter. The motor shaft seal creates a seal between the shaft of the motor and the transmission housing. It helps to keep grease from seeping out from around the motor shaft. If you notice grease leaking past the motor shaft seal, then it will need to be replaced. This part is sold individually and is an authentic OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Had a chipped tooth on gear. When I removed the top of the case, I discovered the motor shaft seal was completely missing. Replaced the bevel gear, installed new shaft seal, installed new gasket and greased shafts and gears. This definitely an easy do it yourself. I would recommend you download an illustrated parts diagram.
