Product Description

The wheel mount for the upper rack of your dishwasher ensures that the top rack easily slides along the track when pulling it in and out. If a wheel or the mount becomes damaged, your top rack will not be balanced and will be difficult to use. This can result in dishes not being cleaned properly or even becoming damaged. There are two different wheel mounts per each side of the top rack, located in the middle and back of the rack. This part is sold individually and is interchangeable for which side it is used on. If you need to replace more than one wheel mount, please be sure to order the correct quantity. The mount simply slides onto the rack and then clips into place, but a flat head screwdriver may be required to remove the rail stops in order to take the top rack out of the dishwasher.

Wheels seperated and came off of mount causing rack to jam
Two problems caused this situation. The reaction of the dishwasher detergent to the plastic material used in the wheel mount caused the tabs holding the wheel in place to break off. Also on the upper part of the mount there is a tab that locks the wheel mount in a vertical position, this tab also breaks off causing the mount to become uns table. The material used for this item is not suitable for the purpose intended.

Wheel on track mount broke causing the upper rack to fail.
Removed end cap on rail, slid broken assembly out, slid new assembly in and popped into place.

The upper dishrack wheel mounts were broken.
The four mounts easily snapped into position and I inserted them into the two side brackets and put the rack into the position in the dishwasher.
