Remove battery, Starting on blade side
Remove blade, top of blade housing, use snap ring pliers remove large snap ring. and aluminum back plate,once inside locate the gear box which broken
Spindle is. Remove screws make sure all metal parts are cleaned install new parts in reverse order.
