This suspension spring is a genuine OEM replacement part for a variety of washers and washer-dryer combos. The primary purpose of the suspension spring is to support the outer tub and keep the tub steady during loads that could cause an unbalance. If this part breaks, is worn down, or has stretched out and lost its spring, it could cause the load to be off-balance which can lead to excessive shaking, moving, noise, and leaks. This part is approximately 2 inches in length when compressed, made of durable metal, and is sold individually. For this repair, you will need a 1/4 nut driver, putty knife, flat blade screwdriver, and a pair of needle-nose pliers. Before you begin, disconnect the power, fill hoses, and drain hose to give you easy and safe access (drain hose may release some water, have a small container or towel near by). Your appliance contains 3 suspension springs, so keep this in mind if you need to order multiple of this part. We suggest you purchase several at a time, as they can be very useful to have on-hand.

There are many symptoms that may indicate an issue with your water inlet valve. These can include your washer not filling with water, it will not stop filling, the washer is leaking, or it is both filling and draining at the same time. You can test if your valve is faulty two different ways. The first is to disconnect the power while the washer fills, if water continues to fill the tub, then the valve should be replaced. The second way is to use a multimeter to test for continuity on the valve solenoids. If you do need to replace the water inlet valve, this is a genuine OEM part that has two ports and is compatible with half-inch ID hose. Before beginning your repair, please be sure to disconnect the power and water supply to your washing machine.

Won't agitate

This is the second time in 6 or 7 years that I have changed the agitator. I will say that considering the amount that I use the machine I am not surprised. What I will say is that it is easier, quicker, and possibly cheaper to just change the agitator than changing the dogs. Basically, you remove one bolt and pop on the new agitator. Waterr would not shut off completely

I followed the instruction video that this site provides for this specific repair / replacement. The video was not specific to my particular model but close enough to make the replacement very simple. Essentially, after disconnecting the power and water hoses, it involves removing the two Phillips head screws on the back corners of the control box which attach it to the machine housing and flipping it to the rear to expose and remove the spring clips which hold the back panel and machine enclosure together. Removing the clips allows the back panel and cabinet to be moved sufficiently to expose the water valve assembly and it's related wiring harness. Only one hex head screw and some tabs on the valve assembly allow it to be removed from the back panel. I was amazed at how simple it was to get the machine apart and expose virtually all it's component parts. Reassembly is obviously in reverse order. I won't hesitate to make other repairs in the future if necessary and cost effective. The local appliance dealer / service company we purchased the machine form new quoted $370.00 for this specific repair. It ultimately cost a grand total of less than $70.00 and no more the 30 minutes time including cleaning up the dust bunnies under the machine. Read more...

This is an OEM direct drive motor coupling, which provides a cushioned connection between the transmission and the motor shaft. This is the newer version of this part, made with new metal sleeves for added strength. It is located between the motor and transmission on direct drive washers with no belt. If the drive system seizes, the coupling is designed to break to prevent the drive motor from damage. Consequently, this part may need to be replaced as your appliance ages. Never overload your washer, as this can speed up its deterioration. Symptoms of a faulty motor coupling include a washer pumping but not spinning, slow spinning, the washer not agitating, and unusual noises. This coupling kit contains all the parts necessary to replace your existing direct drive motor coupling. Please note, that after replacing the motor coupling your washer may smell like burning rubber for the first few uses, this is entirely normal as the part becomes acclimated to the machine. Each is sold individually.

Washer would not spin or agitate

First, I found it very easy to follow the help on your web site to determine the most likely parts that would cause my problems. The direct drive motor coupling could be the cause of both problems. Also the agitator repair kit was the most likely cause of the agitator problem, So, I ordered both parts. When AI received the parts there were videos included instructing every detail for installation. I just followed the video for the direct drive motor coupling and both problems were solved with the one part. It took about 30 minutes and was a simple installation. .Thanks for your good service. This is an OEM agitator repair kit that includes an agitator cam, four directional cogs, a bearing, thrust spacer, inner cap seal, and washer. These parts are found inside the agitator auger near the top. This kit is used when the top portion of the agitator is not moving correctly but the bottom part is. The agitator is subjected to a lot of force during the wash cycle, so it is common for this part to wear over time, especially if you are consistently over-loading your washer. This is an authentic OEM agitator cam kit for your washing machine. The kit includes a bearing, the cam holder, and four individual cams. You may need to replace the agitator cam if you find your washer is noisy, it shakes and moves, or it will not agitate. To do this repair we find it easiest to remove the agitator and you will need a 7/16 socket to do this. Once the agitator has been removed from the washer, you can remove the old cam kit from the top portion. The four individual cams are inserted into the cam holder, and the bearing holds them all in place. The assembly can be placed back inside the agitator, and then the agitator installed back inside the washer.

The direct drive water pump is used in washing machines that do not have belts, to remove water from the tub during the drain cycle. It is located on the motor and attached by two clips. The drain pump has two ports for water to pass through, one port is larger than the other, and this is where the hoses connect. If your washer leaks, will drain the water, or is filling and draining at the same time, there may be an issue with your pump. Blockages or clogs in the hoses may be contributing to this. Before you replace the pump, be sure to disconnect the power and water lines to your appliance. This repair requires a pair of slip-joint pliers, a flat head screwdriver, and a putty knife. You may find it useful to have a container on hand to collect any water left in the hoses, and to have another person to assist with lifting and lowering the machine.
