Fix Number FIX11742543
Manufacturer Part Number WP4449259
The glass panel on the door of your range allows you to see your food as it is being cooked in the oven. If it has become damaged, broken, or so grimy that it is beyond cleaning, it should be replaced. This is a genuine OEM heat resistant panel that measures approximately 10 inches by 20 inches. It is the innermost glass panel on the door and is sold individually. When replacing this panel, please be sure to wear proper protection such as gloves in case any glass breaks. Always be sure to disconnect the power supply to your range and ensure that it is cool to the touch before starting the repair.

Oven Halogen Bulb
Fix Number FIX11742576
Manufacturer Part Number WP4452164
This 5-watt 12-volt halogen light bulb provides light in the oven cavity when the door is open or the switch is turned on. The light assembly is a little over 1” long. If the light is not coming on the bulb may be burnt out or the socket has failed and will need to be replaced. This is a genuine OEM part and is sold individually.

Oven light burned out
The oven light burned out and had to replace. Getting the old one out was harder then replacing the new one. They suggest you use toweling when getting the old out out. You take the toweling, wrap it around the bulb then twist the toweling so it's tight around the bulb. Sounds good but towel keeps slipping off. I turned off power to oven and used a small screw driver to pry out the bulb. I think that because of the heat in the oven over the years gets the old bulb to set up in its socket. Once out putting the new one in took 30 seconds. Keep in mind, because it's a halogen bulb you need to wrap toweling, Kleenex or something around the bulb to keep the oil from your hands off the bulb. Read more...

Replacement of top baking and broiler element
Instead of removing the whole oven unit from the cabinet, I was able to replace the element from inside the oven. From video instructions, I removed the old element as directed, but detached the electric connections to the old element from inside the oven and taped the wires to the inside of the oven so the wire connections would not slip back behind the back wall of the oven. I think this saved a lot of time. Connecting the new element to the wire connections was a little tricky, but I was able to do it and fasten in the new element as shown in the video. Read more...
