This is a genuine OEM 40-Watt replacement light bulb that is compatible with various types of appliances. It has a frosted glass bulb with a standard metal socket base, making it easy to screw and unscrew by hand to replace. It is designed to tolerate extreme temperatures, which is why it is commonly used to light the inside of refrigerators and ovens. Depending on the appliance and location of the bulb, disconnecting the power is recommended. This bulb is sold individually.

The plastic flap (part PS992028) had been mashed into little pieces
It was very simple. The most difficult part was finding a smaill mirror. Once that was solved I simply pulled the wire assembly and replaced it with the one I had purchased. It took about 10 minutes. Just because I was a bit unsure. The wire goes in two points of the assembly. Read more...

Replace Fill cup
Sadly, although it appears you could just snap the fill cup into the groove on the tray, this is not the case. You must remove and disassemble the ice tray assembly to replace this small part. Luckily, this is not terribly difficult. Here are the steps: 1-Remove hex-screw on bottom of ice tray assembly, and loosen two screws on top. 2-Lift assembly off top screws to remove from side of freezer. 3-Unplug power cord. 4-Unsnap front cover on front of unit. 5-Remove ice make motor by removing the screws on front of the unit. 6-Remove Motor Housing by removing the tow recessed screws toward the bottom. 7-Now the ejector arm should be free. Slide it forward from the groove in the ice tray. 8-Remove old fill cup from ejector arm, and slide new fill cup onto it. 9-Reassemble ice tray assembly reversing the steps above. Read more...

Ice maker stopped working
After watching some repair videos on YouTube of my model ,I found out what things can cause the issue .so I started to test parts .Mine was the mold thermostat that is housed inside the ice maker itself. Used a ohmmeter to test for continuity which there was none and replaced it .. Now it works perfect..I have no background in appliance repair but you tube and and this site saved me a lot of money Read more...

fridge and freezer were not cold - light was on and circulation fan was running
cleared storage items on top and along side of fridge; pulled out from wall; removed access cover and vacuumed all I could reach; these steps took 20 minutes, replacing the capacitor @ 10 minutes; troubleshooting guide indicated probable bad "run capacitor" located with "radiator" cooling fan and/or plugged into relay mounted on compressor. I located compressor option, only, and I replaced run capacitor. I could detect no cooling the first day, but 24 hours lated I had ice. It took another 24 hours for fridge section to chill my favorite beverage. I guess this makes for an energy efficient refrigerator, but it sure took a long time to cool, so give it time to work.. This condenser fan motor is used with frost-free refrigerators with a condenser coil. When the compressor runs, so does this fan, circulating air through the refrigerator grille, cooling the compressor and condenser coils. This part also helps to evaporate excess water in the drain pan. If your refrigerator/freezer section is too warm you may need to replace this part. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power to your refrigerator before starting the repair.

This part includes one authentically sourced 3-pin rocker switch for a refrigerator. It is responsible for turning the light on inside the fridge when the door is open. It is commonly replaced because the light has stopped turning on with the door open. For this simple repair, start by disconnecting the power. Use a putty knife and a flathead screwdriver to pry the door switch out of the liner. Disengage the wire harness to release the damaged switch. Install the new door switch by first connecting it to the wire harness. Line the switch up on the liner and snap it into position. Power it back up and double-check that it is working.

Switch actuator was broken
Replaced the switch. It was easily pried out with the putty knife blade by sliding the knife blade under the switch flange, depressing the lock tab and gently twisting the knife blade to pop the switch body out. Unplug the connector to remove the faulty switch from the wiring harness and plug in the replacement. The connector is designed to fit on only one way. Push the wiring and the switch back into the opening, orienting the new switch in the same orientation as the old switch. It snaps in with light finger pressure. Read more...

Parts of Ice Dispenser Assembly fell into my cup
I followed the lead of the professional video provided so will not go into details on what I did. I'll just add a few of my hurdles that I ran into. Pay close attention to the video on how the solenoid stem fits onto the plastic assembly. I didn't get that exactly correct the 1st time around and first try didn't go well. I also had a problem with the 'CUBE' option being selected after reassembly. I had to clean the contacts up on the printed circuit board. I used an eraser which didn't seem to work. Then used a small screwdriver to remove a small film off from the contacts. Finally got the cube selection to work. I believe these new parts will also help in preventing the dispenser from frosting up. Won't know for sure until summer time but when its humid out our ice assembly would frost up often. The new ice shute flapper seems to seal much better than the old one because the seal had practically worn away on the old one. Again, watch the professional video. It is an exact representation of what needs to be done. Read more...
