If your oven has little to no heat, is not heating evenly, or is reaching too high a temperature, there may be a problem with your oven probe. This probe, also known as an oven temperature sensor or a range probe, is found in the cavity of the oven and is used to detect the temperature within there. The probe helps the oven to maintain the desired temperature by communicating with the motherboard in the oven. You can use a multimeter to test if the probe is faulty, and if so, the probe should be replaced. Please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your range before beginning this repair, as you will be working with electrical components. The tools required to complete this repair are a quarter-inch nut driver and a pair of needle nose pliers.

The temperature sensor, also referred to as a thermistor, is used to monitor the refrigerator and freezer internal temperatures. The sensor is a small capsule like device that is protected by a white plastic casing. The sensor sends the temperature reading to the control board, which uses this information to turn on the compressor and fan circuits. If this part is malfunctioning it may inaccurately signal the control board to turn off these components, resulting in warmer than normal temperatures in the fresh food and freezer sections. This part can break from material fatigue through normal use, and will need to be replaced when this happens. You will find this part attached to the evaporator and control housing in your appliance. This OEM part measures roughly 1.25 inches with 18-inch long wire leads. For this repair, you will need a 1/4 inch nut driver, a pair of strippers and crimpers, and a pair of wire splice connectors.

This genuine OEM part is a replacement sensor for your oven. The sensor works with the control board to measure and regulate the temperature in your oven. If the sensor has become defective, the temperature in the oven can fluctuate and read inaccurately. Other symptoms you may experience are little to no heat, or the oven getting too hot. The displayed temperature and the actual temperature can be off by over 50 degrees if the sensor is not working properly. You can use a multimeter to test if the oven sensor is faulty, and if so, it should be replaced. Please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your range before beginning this repair.

This is a genuine OEM replacement temperature sensor for your range. You may need to replace the sensor if there is little to no heat in the oven, the oven will not start, it is not heating evenly, or the oven is getting too hot. Before beginning this repair please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your range, as you will be working with electrical components. You will need access to the back panel of the range, so you will also need to pull it out from the wall so you can easily work. If you find that the connectors are different from the original part, you can cut and splice the wires together with porcelain wire nuts.

If your oven is running hot, not heating evenly, not coming up to temperature, or just not heating up at all, there may be an issue with the temperature sensor. This sensor is usually found in the back of the oven or fitted onto the broil assembly, and is used to measure the temperature inside the cavity of the oven. It then sends that information back to the electronic control, which adjusts the temperature as necessary. If you need a new sensor, this is a genuine OEM replacement part. Before beginning the repair, be sure to disconnect the power supply to your oven, along with the gas if applicable.

This is a temperature sensor for a range. The sensor is what detects the temperature inside the oven and is often replaced when the oven is having heating issues. Please note that the wire connector may be different from the original; if this applies to your part, cut the quick connect and wire together with porcelain wire nuts. For this DIY repair, you will need a Number 2 Phillips or Number 2 square-head screwdriver and possibly wire strippers. Make sure to disconnect the power before installing this part. You will need to pull the range from the cabinet to gain access to this part from the back of the unit.

This is a factory-certified oven sensor kit with two harness adapters. Its purpose is to sense the temperature inside the oven. Replacing this part can fix an oven that is not reaching the proper temperature (too hot or not hot enough), not heating evenly, or an oven that will not start. To access this part, you will need access to the back of the range. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the access panel. Once the access panel is removed, you will notice a hole on the right side of the oven where the temperature sensor comes out of the oven. You will need to unplug the wire harness, and then open the oven door, locate it in the upper left corner, and remove the screws holding the temperature sensor in place. Pull the sensor out of the back of the oven, and replace it with your new part.

This oven temperature sensor is a key component in maintaining accurate heat levels during cooking. It detects the internal temperature of the oven and sends signals to the control board to regulate heating. Over time, exposure to high temperatures can cause the sensor to wear out, leading to inconsistent heating or failure to reach the desired temperature. If your oven is struggling to maintain proper heat, replacing the sensor may resolve the issue. The sensor includes a wire harness for connection and mounts using two screws. Installation is simple and typically requires only a screwdriver. Please note that the sensor is sold individually and does not include mounting hardware.
