This is a genuine OEM 40-Watt replacement light bulb that is compatible with various types of appliances. It has a frosted glass bulb with a standard metal socket base, making it easy to screw and unscrew by hand to replace. It is designed to tolerate extreme temperatures, which is why it is commonly used to light the inside of refrigerators and ovens. Depending on the appliance and location of the bulb, disconnecting the power is recommended. This bulb is sold individually.

The grease filter in your microwave range hood is used to trap dirt and debris from the air that result while cooking. A clogged and dirty filter can decrease the efficiency of your microwave, can cause the exhaust fan to not circulate properly, or can change the taste and smell of your food. Depending on how often you cook, the filter should be replaced every six to eight months. This grease filter is a genuine OEM part that measures approximately 13.5 inches by 6 inches and is made of aluminum. This part is sold individually.

(2)-Repairs: Replaced Grill Vent, & replaced both 'grease' & 'charcoal filters
Grill vent: Cleaned area 1st. / Grill vent snapped in, and screwed in (2) screws. "Easy does it"! (otherwise you'll break the thin plastic tabs on top of the grill vent.) / Top of vent has (4) screws, so I put a touch of red fingernail polish on the (2) screws that hold grill vent in place, to identify which screws to remove-when I want to clean the inside again. / The grease filters slide out by pulling L-to-R & R-to-L. / The old charcoal filters are removed by pushing filter to REAR of unit, with front of filter dropping down to remove. Replace by doing the same thing to install the new filters. Read more...

This is a package of 2 filters. The charcoal filter is used in microwaves to remove food odors from the air. If your filter is damaged or strong odors are coming from your microwave, it is best to replace this part. The only tool needed for this repair is a Phillips screwdriver. First, remove screws at the top of microwave to access the filter. Next, remove filter and insert new filter by pushing it all the way back, so the edges hit the two tabs. The front edge of the filter should rest at the bottom of the cavity. Make sure to replace the grill after installing the new filter. Remember to unplug your microwave from the power source before the installation process. This part is metallic and measures about 12 inches wide and 6 inches deep.

Installation Instructions

Leo from Idaho Falls, ID
Contractor didn't install the charcoal filters when house was built in 2003. One grease filter was bent at original installation by contractor.
Removed existing grease filters following instructions in the operating manual. Extreme care is required as the filters are not much thicker than tin foil and will bend very easily. The tab that you use to pull or push on the grease filter during installation is not designed to be pulled down like a pop-top on a soft drink can. Rather just use your fingers to pull or push on it without trying to bend it down. Bending it down in order to grasp it better will easily ruin the outer aluminum frame which was the original problem. The charcoal filters go in very easily without any particular "trick" to the procedure described in the operating manual. Read more...
