This rack adjuster kit is connected to the dishrack and allows you to adjust the height of the upper rack of your dishwasher up and down to give more space. The kit is constructed of gray plastic and metal, and measures approximately 12 inches wide and 6.5 inches tall. This kit includes 2 adjuster arms, 2 adjuster actuators, 2 gray adjuster covers, 2 gray adjuster housings, and 4 screws. The rack adjuster can break from material fatigue or prolonged high temperature exposure, compromising the integrity of the materials. The most common indicators of a faulty rack adjuster include leaking, door latch failure, the door not closing, dishes not cleaning properly, and failure to start the wash cycle. This kit includes the parts to replace the left and right-side rack adjusters and has been upgraded to a more durable metal design. Replacing this part requires beginner repair experience, basic hand tools, and some disassembly of the dishwasher. Do not forget to unplug the dishwasher or shut off the water supply to the appliance underneath the sink before you begin.
