The drip bowl is found underneath the burner element of ranges with a rolled terminal style plug-in surface element. The purpose of the bowl is to catch any drips or spills that may occur while cooking. If the drip bowl has become damaged or tarnished beyond cleaning, it may be time for a replacement. This is a genuine OEM part that is 8-inches in size and is sold individually. When you replace the drip bowl, you will need to remove the element from the terminal block. At this time, you should also inspect the elements for any signs of damage or corrosion and replace them if necessary.

Burner would not heat up and the cook top on light would not turn off.
First turn off breaker. Pull out stove and unplug. There was about 8 screws on the panel on the back side of the control panel. Remove panel. Remove knob on the bad control and there is 2 screws behind knob. Remove those 2 screws and take the new control and remove 1 wire at a time from old switch to new one then put back together. This is a genuine OEM replacement part. This surface burner plug-in block kit is designed for use with surface elements of your ranges and cooktops. This kit helps connect the wire harness to the surface element. If your element is not heating, or if it only heats intermittently you may have an issue with your terminal block. This is a newer-style terminal block kit, it includes the plastic receptacle block, two metal brackets, two pre-crimped hi-temp wire leads with terminals, two ceramic nuts, two screws, and heat shrinking insulators. Before beginning this repair make sure you have unplugged your appliance.

Elements heat sporatically
I followed the steps in the instructions which were very easy, once the electric power was turned off to the range. I replaced 2 burner plug in blocks in less than 30 minutes. I am embarrassed to say that these burners have not been functional for almost 3 years. I thought that I could not work with electric.
