THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE ON THE SAME SITE AS YOUR PART WHITCH MADE IT SIMPLE

I followed a repair video on YouTube It is easier to disassemble the agitator and replace to cogs The hard part was placing the top part of the agitator back onto the bottom parts, after I replaced the cogs. i use a flashlight to help see where the two separate pieces of the agitator need to be to connect the back together properly ( top agitator & bottom agitator). Once this sep is completed you have to place the whole agitator and line it up on the agitator rod. Line up the groves as much as possible. Turn the agitator slowly until it slides into place. Then use your socket wrench to tighten the screw. The screw is the last step to attach the agitator back onto the washing machine. Then replace the cap, to keep water from going down into the washing machine. Then replace the fabric softener dispenser. Now you have a great washing machine. I am a women and did this repair by myself.

Removed agitator according to instructions, although upper and lower agitator did not want to separate. I used a steel rod and hammer to separate them by hitting lower agitator where bolt goes through. After removing and replacing old cogs, cog holder had to be tipped upside down to insert in agitator. I used a small dap of toothpaste to hold retainer in place while I inserted it in agitator. Works great now.

removed the agitator and melted the retaining clips to loosen the retainer cover for the cogs. went simple after that.

The repair went smoothy except for removing the screw that holds the upper agitator part from the bottom agitator. Once that was removed all went smoothly. Considering my washer is 17years old, I guess I should be happy that was my only problem. I followed the directions of the repairman in the video that was provided by the web site. Most of my parts matched his parts :). My husband was very proud that I repaired the washer and was able to diagnose the problem. Thanks for helping me save some $$$$. I also ordered a new agitator repair kit which had almost everything. I noticed that I the kit had shorted 3 of the 4 cogs. Once the missing parts were received I removed the agitator bolt from the middle of the agitiator with a rachet and socket. Amazingly, I read the instructions and followed them accordingly. I pulled removed the agitator and removed the dogs/cogs and placed the new one in the new dogs *Making "dog gone" (pun intended) sure they were facing the correct way, by comparing them to the instructions. I carefully seated them as per the illustrations on the instructions and replaced the center bolt in. placed the cap on top and started the washer. Then I had my cup of coffee. By the way..I'm a grandmother, so if I can do it.............!

I unscrewed the top cap by hand and used a socket wrench to remove the main center unit.
the rest was very straight forward.

Using the IPB I removed the upper assembly to gain access to the cogs. Turned the assembly over and incerted the new parts and reassembled the pieces in reverse order.

I watched your video, followed the instructions, and
in 20 minutes I had a new washer! The repair man estimated the cost for repair at $150, but I didn't want to spend that much money on a 20-year-old washer, so I ordered the agitator repair kit, cost $12, and it arrived the very next day! I did exactly what the video indicated and within 30 minutes my washer was agitating like never before. Thank you so much for the video instruction, it was fantastic.

I took a socket and removed the agitator bolt and cover which exposed the cogs. I cold see the cogs were stripped. I changed them and everything works fine.

That OK , easy.

1. Lift the softener dispenser up and out
2. Lift up the plastic cap underneath
3. See bolt...use ratchet with extension to loosen and remove bolt
4. Remove whole agitator by simply lifting it up
5. Place agitator on floor and separate top from bottom agitator by simply pulling apart
6. See 4 plastic cogs that spin the agitator. Like mine they are probably completely worn/stripped.
7. Replace old 4-cog set with a new 4-cog set. They are small and inexpensive parts! I did this and our machine is working just great!

This also gave me a chance to clean the agitator thoroughly!

I noticed the agitator didn't "lock up" in one direction to properly agitate the load (which in turn "agitated" my girlfriend. I took the agitator apart to find the dog ears were worn. I ordered some new ones at a cost of about $12 delivered fed-ex and had the new dog ears installed in about 15 minutes saving me a bag of money from the repair man.

FIRST I printed the directions from an online DIY stie, then removed a single bolt from the center of the agitator. I dismantled the agitator, replaced the dogs, and used to printed page to help me reassemble the agitator. I then replaced the bolt. It's VERY easy, but you need the pictures to be sure you've put everything back in the correct place.
