The top of the agitator wouldn't turn, just the bottom
I removed the softener cup, unscrewed the bolt and replaced the cam kit. Super easy just like everyone else said. Parts were here very quickly and at a great price!

Fabric Softener Dispenser clogged
Pushed the new one into place. No tools, no fuss and very little swearing involved. Clogg was caused by erroneously pouring the liquid detergent into the very handy opening reserved for fabric softener. I'd love to say my wife did that, but.... no, it was me. NOW, the real story. I ordered the part via the web at 10:00 a.m. It was delivered to me at 9:30 a.m. the next morning via Fed Ex. Wow! Great job at PartSelect.

The agitator was no longer agitating the clothes.
First I pulled the liquid softener dispenser from the top of the agitator. Then I pulled (also by hand) the cover that was beneath it. That revealed the bolt holding the agitator in place. I loosened this with a socket set and removed it. The old Cam-Agit, which was stripped, popped out and the new one popped in. I then reassembled everything in reverse order and was done in approximately 5 minutes. The agitator works great now and we are no longer getting clumps of powder detergent in the clothes from lack of agitation.

Per your directions. Note that part has been updated from original. Looks like an improvement, adds tab to grab rod, but changes installation.

The agitator cogs needed replacing.
I bought the cog kit. Nice directions on how to assemble but their were no instruction on how to disassemble the agitator. I wound up replacing the whole agitator for $60 vs $6 for the parts I needed. The agitator had only one nut (which you had to take off to get at the cog assembly anyway. The agitator is the way to go. The cogs are halfway down the top part of agitator with no way the get them out without a special tool or ruining the bottom part of the agitator as the clips are part of the bottom piece. If you need special tools they should be listed. If you need to be a trained technician that should also be stated. To give you parts in the middle of an assembly with no instruction on how to put them in the assembly is plain wrong.

Agitator wasn't moving
Much like the other descriptions. I found the video helpful and this was the only vendor that had diagrams, so you could see how things went back together. When I popped off the top piece, everything went flying, as someone else mentioned, so the diagram was essential.

Agitator began skipping and not moving through part of turn
Remove dispenser and barrier cap by hand to access cam assembly. Unbolted agitator assembly and pulled up firmly.
Able to access and replace cams. Before pulling out note how assembled and make sure to put back exactly the same. Singe person using this machine for 8 years. Poor design or quality of cams to fail so soon. Family of 5 would have been through this in a few years. For only 15 dollars definitely worthwhile repair. Parts arrived in days.

Had to replace the agitator
I already had the old agitator out, so when I got the new one I put it in the tub. You have to spin it a little so it seats properly. I then tightened the bolt with a 7/16” socket and my wife was washing a load within 15 minutes
