The Washer wasn't agitating.
Removed the attaching bolt and then removed the Upper Agitator Assembly. I removed the damaged parts and installed the Agitator Repair Kit and Re-installed the NEW Upper Agitator Assembly.

All of our wash was smelling like mildew. It was making us nauseas . After the repair everything smelled fresh and clean again. We received our parts within three days.

Thanks

Top section of agitator was slipping.
I ordered the new cogs but didn't want to wait the few days for them to arrive. So I decided to try and temporarily repair the old ones. After looking at the picture of the new ones on this site I realized that the teeth were just worn down. I took all four of them out and used a grinding disc to carve the teeth down deeper. They were not perfect. (I would recommend holding the teeth with a vise.) However, after reinstalling the cogs the machine worked perfect and that was two weeks ago. I'm not going to install the new ones until I have to.

agitator rotated in both directions, plastic ratchet had worn out
snapped off the softener dispenser, pulled out the plastic seal below and could see problem. Used socket with extension to remove agitator. ran machine to verify transmission was working.
Looked up parts on line and found Part Select. The repair stories insured me I had correctly identified problem. Ordered part on Sat. arrived Tues. Reversed disassembly process with new agitator. Success
Great source of information, fast delivery, very satisfied overall and will reccomend and use again

Agitator Not Working Like It Should
Ordered the agitator repair kit and it came very fast.. Followed the instructions, the kit had all the parts needed.. Took around 30 minutes, but some of that was scraping the built up scale from the agitator itself, you might not have to do that.. Easy job.. Agitator now works like new.. Very Happy, and so is my wife, the kids looked and said, "Hey,my jeans go down to the bottom now, cool..!!"

Agitator seperated from inside of wash drum
I had to find a point of reference first since item came apart in wash cycle and internal pieces fell out - thank goodness for YOUTUBE. Another guy was thoughtful enough to do a video on how the assembly came apart / went back together - a huge help for sure. Actual repair was less than a half hour after obtaining new part and seeing video. The 12 year old washer works like brand new - saving me close to 1,000 dollar replacement charges.

Replace Agitator kit
Removed top agitator bolt lifted agitator out and replaced ring and geared dogs. replaced Agitator top swirl vanes. It would have been nice if the kit included agitator grease and a new bolt and washer.

Washer would not agitate
I ordered the part and watched the installation video. It would have helped if I had watched the video all the way through at least once. Instead I paused and restarted it as I did the repair. As a result I had a hard time putting the agitator back together. Otherwise it was a fairly easy repair and my 20-year-old washer works great again!

My washer was always off balance.
I used a jack to lift the tub and unhooked the rods and replaced them. Works great.

Not really a problem but the hardest part was moving the washer to lay on its back.
I simply followed Steve's instructions on video. Very easy repair. Washer works great, no jumping or vibrating.

Spin cycle was way out of wack, like it was over loaded to 1 side
1st watched the video, turned off the water supply, unplugged the elecrtcal cord, removed the rear top panel , screws with the nut driver , then slid the top forward about 1 inch & then lifted upwards to removed the lid assy, after taping the lid assy down so it wouldn't flip open. Then once lifted up, at the very back are 2 slots, which you can the set the top onto, then use the 2 s-hooks with a chain to support the lid assy from falling backwards and attach to the base assy.
Then you can move the tub assy away from where you need to work.in this case was replacing the upper plastic suspension rod supports, then push upwards the socket , drop in the new one, pull of on the rod assy, and hook it into the ball and drop bach into the suppprt , was able to do all 4 in no time. Then unkook and reattach all, screws, plug back in, turn on the water. And we were good to go.
All For less than $20.

Agitator wouldn't twirl.
Removed old agitator and determined teeth in center were worn down. Purchased new upper agitator assembly and repair kit. It now works like a new washer. (NOTE: It wasn't until after I did the repair that I heard 15 years is quite old for a washer. But it cost me $40 to repair compared to $500 to replace. I hope it lasts another 15 years!)

Replaced each hose. Did discover that either hose can be used for hot or cold water lines. No longer required to label hot and cold replacement hoses.
