Burning smell, ASSUMED it was the belt
Once we put the washer on it's side noticed lots of oil on the floor and in the belt cover area. Replaced belt anyway but issue is the leaking transmission. Starting warranty process since Maytag carries a 10-year part warranty and machine is 6.5 years old. Wish me luck !!!

Washer walking during spin cycle
Watched video and followed instructions. Removed rods from top cups, laid washer on its side and pulled them out. Put new rods thru, stood washer up and hooked them in. Was pretty easy, tube heavy but I'm 52 and I did it myself.
My only problem is there's no springs anywhere attaching rods to tub and I cannot find any info on 1. IF I need them 2. What kind I need. I sent email to partselect last week inquiring and still waiting to hear.

Washer was making an awful screeching noise when agitating
I turned off and disconnected the water lines (have a bucket ready) and tipped the washer on its back. I followed along with the provided video that was super helpful. Disconnecting, moving the washer, and reconnecting everything took longer than the repair. Very satisfied with this repair!

Actuator clicking not going into spin mode
I laid the washer on its front side to access underneath. I removed the original washer pulley system and actuator very easily to replace them with the new parts. The new/updated model actuator for my machine was a little bit challenging to maneuver around existing parts to make work, but I eventually got it installed. The plug was angled very differently than the original plug on the actuator, but it was a tight fit. There was no issue installing the washer pulley system. Hooked washer back up to power, water lines, drain line, and the washer has been working perfectly since.

Found washer to not agitate, washer was making a noise like grinding plastic on metal type noise. Was not sure what was causing noise until finally realizing that agitator was not agitating during wash cycle. To verify concern I removed old agitator assembly and marked top of input shaft and turned
Removed cover from dasher assembly and removed 7/16 bolt, removed agitator assembly and reinstalled new dasher assembly and installed new 7/16 bolt with washer included. Installed cover and tested washer. Washer worked normal again

cold water inlet valve bad
Ordered the inlet assembly from this site. Received it the day after I received the notice it shipped. Watched their video of how to replace the part. Easy job, done in 15 minutes. Only needed a screwdriver to take the cover off the back of the washer control panel. A company wanted $400 to replace the part.
Definitely recommend the company and will use again.

Washer would not adgitate
I ordered a lid switch because the washer wouldn't agitate. Most reviews indicated that was the problem. While waiting for the part to arrive, I discovered the transmission to be of fault.I let parts select know that I no longer needed the part. Parts Select gave me an immediate refund no questions asked and before I returned the part to them. That is customer service!! I will use Parts Select for all my future purchases. I can trust a company that trusts its customers.
