The Repair went well . I had the hose on in about 30 seconds . The best part about this ordeal was the ease of finding the part on your website , and the speed of the delivery . iremove the two screws that is on the lid and then ipulled that out then secound step remove the part is on the back were is the suit of the washer machine were is the hoses of the water hot and cold its berry easy to do it your self thank you

Lift washer top and flip over. There are 2 clips about an inch in from each side that you release with a flat screwdriver. Remove inlet valve assembly 1 screw. Remove valve from assembly 2 screws. Install new valve to assembly. Very simple procedure. However when searching for part website asks for model number of machine, but 2 different SERIAL numbers of same MODEL number use 2 different parts. Obviously, shut water off and start machine for a second to release pressure before starting install.

Disconnect electricity....remove front panel by gently prying up lid.... Remove two small screws at corners of front panel. You may need small nutdriver here or very small hands, you can easily swivel tub out of the way....once front panel is off water pump is at the bottom right... It is only connected by two squeeze clamps and 3 nuts... This is obviously where the adjustable wrench and nutdriver come in very handy... Otherwise this job will be a bit longer....be prepared for residual water to pour out...you will need towels or a bucket....replace old with new one by reversing the process...at this point tilt the entire washer on it's backside or at least at a 45 degree angle to access the bottom... Swivel the motor away to slack up the belt...remove belt and replace in reverse order of diassembling.... Should take no more than 15 minutes.... Good luck!!!!!

Switch material hardened due to old age & broke easily when force fitted. Ordered parts online & in two business day it arrived.

First open the lid & removed the side latch with screw driver carefully. Checked the length of the new plunger with the old one with respect to length & compare the stroke. Slide fit the switch & rectified the play in the plunger pusher with super glue.

I removed the screws to loosen the belt, took off the old belt and put on the new belt. Tightened it up and has been working ever since.

Diconnected water lines, layed washer on its side, spun pulleys and pulled belt off at the same time, put the belt on in the same way. VERY simple

Replace the motor in 25 minutes, my repair guy said it was not worth the time , I got this motor for less than $150. And save my self over $600.00, this was incredible.

I knew it was the belt because of all the noise it was making. I ordered the belt and it arrived real fast. I pulled the washer away from the wall and tipped it back at about a 45 degree angle against the wall so I could get under it. I propped it with a bucket. I then pulled the old belt off and spun the new one on. Real fast & easy.

Took a putty knife and raised the top,then took two bolts out, then pulled front panel off. Took hose off from the tub to the pump,and put the new one on. It's working fine.

I went ot the Parts Select web site, and read what other people had done with the same problem. The advice was right on. Using the paper towel to hold the screw in place during reassembly ws great advice. Thanks for the heads- up.

Use a blade to pop off the fabric softener dispenser cup. Use socket and extension to unscrew the single hex bolt that attaches the assembly to the shaft. Lift off the assembly and recover the flat washer. Install the new assembly over the shaft and install the original hex bolt and washer. Tighten firmly. Snap the dispenser cup back in place.

take a butter knife and pop the clips loose on the front between the lid and the front take the two screws loose on the front in each corner remove the front cover and you will see the hose take the clamps off and replace the hose

unpluged the machine , turned off the water .
removed as much water i could by hand ,with pan & towels .
Removed the front panel , tip machine on back feet & prop up .
removed belt from under the machine , take the drain hose off pump , remove pump .
installed new pump , rehook hoses , install new belt & motor pivot spring .
put front back on lower machine turn water back o
n , and plug back in .

I'm not a washing machine technician but I did nurse a new Kenmore machine for 23 years and was ready for a replacement. Craigslist advertised a Maytag I was interested in and I bought it with the seller's assurance that it worked perfectly. It didn't and I went online to try and figure out what might be wrong. Clearly, the tub was traveling beyond it's design limit and I suspected a spring or two might be involved. Somewhere online, I found the illustrated parts diagram and then went looking for additional information. To my extreem delight, I came across a do it yourself repair video that demonstrated the procedure well enough that I was completely confident I could make the repair with little effort. I found PartSelect and within minutes, I had the parts ordered. The parts arrived within 4 or 5 days, as promised, well packaged and in perfect shape. This morning, using the video as a final reference and the new parts, I completed the repair with only a minor hitch. Without the special spring tool used in the video, I struggled a bit with getting the new springs attached. That's where my wife came in handy (after all, she was movitated). Having her tilt the drum toward the spring landing made it much easier for me to stretch it into place using an adjustable locking plier. I actually enjoyed the whole procedure.
