Replaced the suspension rods

This washer would not go into spin cycle without going out of balance no matter how we arranged the contents in the drum. We were looking to buy a front loader when I happened open this company with video instructions and positive comments from other people with the same issue. For the cost it was worth a try. Following the video and in less than one hour the washer was back in service. It now operates like the day we installed it new. Highly recommend this fix which should save you hundreds on a new washer.

Unplugged the electric. Shut water off removed the hot and cold water lines. Take the 1/4 inch nut driver and loosen and removed the 1/4 inch head screws from the back panel to get to the water level switch. Pull the knob off of the front. Go to the back and remove the clamp off of plastic tube and remove from water level switch with the channel locks. To remove the old switch from back of panel twist old switch to the left you will hear and feel a click to loosen the switch. Remove the electric plug and remove old part. Install the electric plug into new water level switch and the plastic tube back on with clamp on new switch. Put the new switch back on the panel by twisting to the right until you hear and feel a click. Put the knob back on front and replace the back cover with the 1/4 inch screws and nut driver. Replace hot and cold water lines turn on water and check for leaks. Plug electric cord in. Ready to use washer

Using the IPB I removed the upper assembly to gain access to the cogs. Turned the assembly over and incerted the new parts and reassembled the pieces in reverse order.

1. Lift the softener dispenser up and out
2. Lift up the plastic cap underneath
3. See bolt...use ratchet with extension to loosen and remove bolt
4. Remove whole agitator by simply lifting it up
5. Place agitator on floor and separate top from bottom agitator by simply pulling apart
6. See 4 plastic cogs that spin the agitator. Like mine they are probably completely worn/stripped.
7. Replace old 4-cog set with a new 4-cog set. They are small and inexpensive parts! I did this and our machine is working just great!

This also gave me a chance to clean the agitator thoroughly!

I basically followed the video that was available on Partselect.
I had trouble getting the top of the agitator separated from the lower but I used a length of 2x4 and gently tapped this with a hammer (so I wasn't hitting the plastic directly with the hammer, never a good idea). I few taps around the perimeter of the upper agitator and it came apart. The rest was quite easy. I replaced the seal since it looked pretty worn when I first removed the inner cap.

The top portion of the agitator was not turning so that laundry could be drawn down in the wash tub. The problem was 4 little cogs that where worn and would not catch on a gear/cog portion of the bottom portion of the agitator. the cogs where about $10 delivered and it took about 25 min. to install (from top of washer). The old cogs, I also repaired by taking them out and using a hacksaw to redefine the grooves on them. They are still working, so I will hold on to the new parts until needed.

first remove the cap on agitator(softner),then pull out inside cap (small cover inside),loose bolt in center (you need a 7/16 socket with a long extension) after that pull up the whole assamble out of the washer tub,hold bottom part and pull up agitator ,turn up side down to take out the cogs and holder, replace with new ones and go back on the instructions.

After reading on line how others did it, it was simple. I lifted out the softener dispenser. Under that there was a plastic cap. You just lift it out - theres no fasteners holding it. It just fits snugly in place by means of an o-ring. Under that there is one bolt holding the agitator to the spindle. Loosen that and remove the whole agitator. The agitator then comes apart in the middle. Just pull the two halves apart. The only tool you will need is one socket with a long extention and a ratchet. Once apart you will see the 4 plastic cogs that spin the agitator. The teeth were worn off of mine. I simply replaced the four cogs that come as a set. None of the other parts were worn to the point of needing replacement. I now have a fully functioning washing machine that was repaired for less than thirteen dollars!

Part ordered was incorrect even though your website said that it was correct when I ordered it. Part sent back. Have since bought a new washer. Your contact person to return part was very helpful.

remove top of adigator and remove bolt. remove plastic clip and cogs.replace in reverse order.

repair was really simple. If you can get it apart, you can fix it. the parts fit perfectly.

removed the agitator and melted the retaining clips to loosen the retainer cover for the cogs. went simple after that.

Removed agitator according to instructions, although upper and lower agitator did not want to separate. I used a steel rod and hammer to separate them by hitting lower agitator where bolt goes through. After removing and replacing old cogs, cog holder had to be tipped upside down to insert in agitator. I used a small dap of toothpaste to hold retainer in place while I inserted it in agitator. Works great now.

I went on line to find out how take the adjetator apart. You just stand on the adjetator and pull the top off. Very simple. Once that wss apart I cleaned the dog area of dirt and old pieces. Install new dogs and put it back together. I was trying to make much harder than it was. Piece of cake.
