teeth were worn off the dogs, washer wouldnt aggitate
Remove the adgitator cap, remove a 7/16 bolt inside the agitator, lift out the top half the agitator and replace the guts with the new one. then insert and replace the bolt and snap the cap back on. The whole process didnt take 5 minnutes. it took longer to drive to the peoples house than it did to do the repair ! damn shame i couldnt charge by the minnute instead of by the hour. I cant believe kenmore got away with putting such junk on the market ! I' m sure many of these kits are being sold to those who do heavy loads od laundry!

upper agitator quit working
I remove the retaining bolt from the agitator - a little force need to separate the top agitator from the bottom - removed the dogs from the old part - did not have to even use the replacement tower - put it back on and the washer works like new. I had been already pricing a new washer ( $500)- this site is great - instructions were clear. I am an accountant so, I am not a guy that normally works with equipment. some of the user's repair stories made it easy

The little dogs in the top agitator were worn out.
Easy. I took the fabric dispenser off, popped the cap off the top of the agitator and my husband removed the big screw down in the hole. We pulled the thing apart, took the old part out, put the new part it, put it back together. The hardest part was getting the big screw loose. (That's where my husband came in.) My $75 washer I bought at auction works like a new one!!

Agitator seperated from inside of wash drum
I had to find a point of reference first since item came apart in wash cycle and internal pieces fell out - thank goodness for YOUTUBE. Another guy was thoughtful enough to do a video on how the assembly came apart / went back together - a huge help for sure. Actual repair was less than a half hour after obtaining new part and seeing video. The 12 year old washer works like brand new - saving me close to 1,000 dollar replacement charges.

machine wobbled violently
followed video instruction that came with part. Previously watched youtube video (there are several, the low production videos are well worth viewing over the professional types). It was a breeze, other than the videos saying one person could do all four. When you get to the last rod, it is more difficult to lift the tub to insert the final rod in the round holder. I asked my wife for assistance.
