Washer was making an awful screeching noise when agitating
I turned off and disconnected the water lines (have a bucket ready) and tipped the washer on its back. I followed along with the provided video that was super helpful. Disconnecting, moving the washer, and reconnecting everything took longer than the repair. Very satisfied with this repair!

Needed to extend drain hose to reach drain
Ordered drain hose extender. It uses a rubber flange with hose clip to attach to washer's plastic hose. When tightened, the hose clip crushes the plastic hose and crimps it, causing a leak. My solution was to find a copper pipe flange that was the same diameter as the interior of the plastic hose to act as a bushing for the plastic hose. The hose clip could then be tightened without deforming the hose. Worked great with no leaks.

Washer would not step through the cycle steps, would not complete the washer cycle.
Per the instructions on the website, I:
1. Disconnected AC Power, turned off the water supply and disconnected the water and drain hoses from the rear of the washer.
2. Laid the washer front side down to access the bottom of the washer.
3. Remove the Pulley Guard ( 2 nuts.)
4. Removed the Shift Actuator Assembly (2 philips screws.)
5. Disconnected the electrical connector from the assembly.
6. Remove faulty Actuator and replace with replacement part.
7. Install the Pulley cover lift washer upright, reconnect water supply hoses and drain tubing, plug washer in and tested.
Problem is resolved, saved almost $250 by doing it myself!

Washer hoses due for replacement
Replaced each hose. Did discover that either hose can be used for hot or cold water lines. No longer required to label hot and cold replacement hoses.

Rinse cycle kept repeating, did not spin clothes
Spin indicator light was illuminated but machine was repeating rinse cycle rather than spinning water out of clothes. Replaced the pulley and drive coupler, thinking there was a mechanical problem. Video instructions were great but old pulley and drive coupler looked perfect so replacing them did nothing. Next I replaced the washer actuator (shifter), thinking that was the reason for no high speed spin. Easy job, as shown in the video, but it also did nothing. The problem turned out to be a failure in the control panel, probably resulting from years of vibration. Decided to stop chasing my tail and bought a new washer.

The wash plate cap was broken and had to be replaced.
I used a small flat head screwdriver inserted into slots just under the cap and pried off the cap. The cap should come off very easy.
Replace with the new cap.

Washer lid locking latch that goes down into locking mechanism broke off inside the lock.
I used needle nose pliers to remove the broken piece of the latch from the lid lock and removed the round broken latch assembly from the lid by twisting counter clockwise and removing it from the round inset hole on the underside of the lid.
I then took the replacement latch assembly, inserted it flush in the hole and twisted it clockwise until it snapped into position. It took less than a minute to fix. The latch is very thin, made of plastic, so I bought two, to have an extra as a backup.

Every load was out of balance no matter how small.
I watched a YouTube video on the model of my washing machine and repeated the process.
The video helped a lot on how the top came off. Each brand can be slightly different.

Making groaning noise in spin
Having been out of the business for quite a few years I thought that I was dealing with a direct drive machine. Thinking that it was the motor coupler. I removed the control panel and attempted to pull the cabinet froward. Not so, it had a solid cabinet, so I tilted the machine against the wall and looked under the washer finding the driven Transmission pulley loose on the shaft. The splines on the pulley were pretty well worn but I tightened the nut and it worked okay. But I ordered a pulley and replaced after it's arrival. The motor capacitor also broke it's mount off so I had to rehang it with zip ties and repaired the wires to the Capacitor, (Which BTW had about 22 gauge wire). I found it hard to believe that they would use such small wire.
