LISR310CW0WW General Electric Washer - Instructions

I removed the center piece in the washer by pulling up on it, removed the retaining bolt and the agitator coupling.

Installation reverse of removal...no problems. The spline on the inside of the agitator coupling was worn out.

I never would have though about it until I searched the problem on line. I had already decided that I would have to buy a new washer (again)...I had a pressure switch problem about 6 months ago.

PartSelect is great...I ordered the parts for both problems from them and I have kept my old washer alive.

Remove retaining clip, remove knob, inspect for wear. Order part, install part (knob), resume operation.

At first the knob seemed like it would not fit on, but after I sprayed it with WD-40 oil, it slipped with a gentle, steady push

Just push knob on less than 4 seconds

The repair was very easy a pair of needle nosed pliers and pull out on the knob and there was a locking pin to be pulled off and the knob came right off the new one came with a new pin so push the new one on and it was fixed.

took out the agitator then removed the agitator coupli and found out that the coupli was worn out, i then replaced it and everything worked again

I first placed a rope under the fins of the agitator and used a 2X4 board to pull up the agitator which needed very little force to release itself from the agitator coupling. I removed the nut holding the agitator coupling, removed the stripped agitator coupling. Installation was just the reverse process, inserted the new agitator coupling, placed and tightened the screw, and pressed down the agitator over the agitator coupling and I was done. Over time for the repair was between 5 and 10 minutes, very easy, and I have no experience repairing washing machines.

I followed the easy instructions on the video site for installing a knob and clip on a GE washer. The knob and clip were not available to find locally. I was told at a part store that a whole new operating switch had to be replaced which would be approximately $180 to buy. After visiting your site, and viewing your easy instructions, only a knob and clip were needed. Delivery was in 3 days. Very easy installation. Saved bucks. Pleasant experience.

Replaced with new part. Simply switched old with new. Pull off - push on.

I was very disappointed that this washing machine was broken since it is the second GE washer I have had in this house and the home is only 11 yrs old. I went to the Parts Select website and used the repair information to diagnose the problem and order the part. The part was about $12 including shipping and arrived in a few days. First I prided clip from behindcontrol knob and knob poped off. New knob supply with new clip just push on job is done.

My husband remove the agitator and found that it was worn. I googled the problem and one of the websites that came up was PartSelect. My husband watched the easy to follow video and had me order the Agitator Coupling Kit. It arrived in just two days. It took him 15 minutes to install and I started washing immediately. It cost us $13.22 and saved us $800 to $1200 if a new washing machine would of had to be purchased. Unplugged the electrical cord and pulled the knob out and used a small mirrow to see and turn the clip to where it would slip off with the needle nose pliers. It took longer to find the mirror than to replace the knob.(lol)

removed old dampening straps replaced with new ones a total of 4 straps, took about 10 min, works great again.very easy to do. thank you.
