CW20T5A Crosley Washer - Instructions

tipped the washer back, laid on the floor, and wrapped new belt around 3 pulleys. everything works as before.

I had my 12 year old son climb to the back and he took off all the screws necessary in the back and took the part completely off. We ordered the part and waited for it to come in. We replaced the part, the screws and honestly, the only thing we had trouble with was replacing the small cover where the hoses stick out of the washer. Was an easy efficient experience that may have saved me $300.00+ dollars. Thanks to my 12 year old son we got her fixed up. The washer works like brand new.

I first changed the belt which helped but it still sounded like it was going to take off through the roof.....I did the pulley and bearing kit in hopes that it would do some good....it went really smoothly with no issues however it did not solve the problem....so it is working and I am going to just ride it out until it quits....thanks

Removed water lines and drain, removed back panel, removed drain lines from pump. Unscrewed 3 screws to remove pump. attached drain lines to new pump, screwed in new pump, reattached everything. Reinstalled belt (very easy, not like an altenator). done

I pulled washer out and removed filler hoses from water supply and drain hose and tilted it forward placing three short 2X4's under the washer to keep it tilted forward. Removed
back plate with nutdriver. Removed belt from pulley and disconnected the two hoses from pump with pliers. Removed three large screws from pump base with nutdriver and removed old pump. Installed the new pump in reverse order. Quick and fairly easy took about 30 minutes.

Removed the front cover of the machine, held in place by 2 screws on top. Removed the ground strap secured to the motor and (2) 3/8 inch bolts holding the motor in place. Next I removed this the lower belt, pulled the motor forward, then disconnected one by one, each individual electrical connector and connected them to the new motor to assure the were connected in the proper place. After this was done, the new motor was put into place with the belt reinstalled, ground straps reconnected, and bolted back into position.
Job finished in about 20 minutes.

Removed front cover, identified leak, ordered part, saved over half of the cost on part, no service call fee. I feel great!

I first unplugged washer, removed the dials, removed the back cover over the timer, unscrewed the retaining screws of the timer, unpluged the timer, and reversed the procedure to install the new timer. I was very surprised with the speed of delivery of the timer as I ordered it during the holiday season and I expected delivery to take a week or more. I had the timer within three business days. Took off belt and ran motor. No noise. Then took off drain pump and spun it by hand and felt rubbing on one spot. I figured the bearings were going bad, so I ordered the parts and replaced them.

My husband unhooked the water lines, unplugged the washer and remove the waste water hose, then we tipped it over and easy as pie the belt came off and the new one went right back on. I did not see any tears or breaks in the old belt, but it was stretched out a bit, and the washer is once again quiet. This also gave me an opportunity to clean under the washer, which we all know we don't do unless we have to. Cheap, quick, and easy fix for someone to do there self.

Turn water off at the inlet valve of hose you are replacing. Disconnect inlet hose the washer and let water drain out in a bucket. Then remove old hose. Replace new hose to inlet valve then washer . Use pliers to tighten both ends. Turn on water to check leaks at both ends of hose.

Turned water off,tilted unit forward,removed lower rear cover,removed belt,laid towels around ,removed inlet hose and exit hose off pump,removed 3 screws holding pump,removed pump and installed new one,reversed order of disassemble, has been running great ever since.

replaced pulley and belt. Looked for a pulley for 1 week at retail stores. Found pulley on parts select
