Followed the instruction from the video. I am very satisfied with the accuracy of the instructions.

I followed the online video. It worked perfectly.

I found a YouTube video that was for the drive motor coupling that had the sound the machine was making. Then after ordering the part, I followed the video here. I was able to do the repair without unhooking the water by tilting the washer. Only thing I would like to add is that it took me two tries because the part is newly improved and tighter so I hadn't pushed it on enough. Smelled burning and banging, so I found another video explaining how to use a socket and hammer to gently tap the coupling onto the motor until it is flush with the inside. Put it back together and wallah. Good to go. Done by a 49 year old woman for under $20.

Very easy and cheap repair. Hardest part was getting cabinet back on. Watched u tube video before and easy and quick to do take off cabinet, in clip motor and slide new motor coupler in. Put back together

Followed the video posted on the website. Everything went great - first repair attempt took about 45 minutes. Time consumed mostly due to the straps that hold the motor in place being very difficult to put back on and that the cabinet was a little difficult to replace due to the amount of rust around the bottom of it. Tried out the washer when done, and noticed a burning rubber smell. Took everything apart again, checked it, and everything seemed to be ok (made sure all four rubber feet were in place on the motor) so put it all back together again. Noticed the smell again so took it apart a third time, and when the motor felt pretty warm, decided to do an internet search for "burning rubber smell after replacing drive motor coupling." The answer popped right up - the replacement parts were not solid plastic like the original ones- they had metal on the inside of them, and needed to be tapped, a bit forcefully, with a hammer and socket until flush on the both the motor and transmission axles. Once the parts were flush, the straps that hold the motor in place snapped right on. Still a challenge with the rusted cabinet, but once all together again, worked perfect! Thanks to this site , I have fixed washers, dryers, and refrigerators and used them now nearly 20 years! I showed my daughter and granddaughter how to repair them and they don't hesitate to pitch in and help or handle the repairs on their own - again with much appreciation to this sitefor the accurate "how to" videos, the right parts, fast shipping, and great prices.

I used the installation video to see how to complete the repair. It was an easy repair with the use of the video. This was the first time that I ever got and installation video, on line, with the purchase of a repair part. This site is a great parts company and I will use them every opportunity that I can

The shredded rubber under the machine pointed to a drive coupling failure. Unscrew the control panel and type it back. Undo the body clips on either side and tip forward and remove the body..... At least on this model. Lay the machine on it's back and remove two motor clips. Uncouple one hose so that the motor can be removed. This exposes the broken drive coupling. Remove it's remains from the motor shaft and the transmission shaft. Install the new one and reverse the steps. NO BIG DEAL. Up and running in less than one hour. Total fix cost $18.....I'll take that any day.

Watch the video as provided bythis site! Really, I could have fumbled through it myself and likely would have eventually gotten it. However, after figuring out what roughly might be the problem by turning the washer over and looking at the broken coupling -watching the video defined a completely different, and much shorter repair than I likely would have put myself through. -Additions to the video are the use of a rust penetrant like liquid wrench on the coupling, a lot more prying to get the coupling off the motor shaft, and a folded up towel to absorb water when you lay the washer on it's back. For me this was a good time to clean inside the tops of the washer basket, and the surrounding tub with a longer bottle brush and some other stuff that fit the limited space. If you disconnect the drain connection from the pump at the bottom, and turn the washer upright over a floor drain, you can rinse/scrub the space all you want. If hadn't watched a different related video, I probably would have attempted to remove the tub, but you need a tool that I don't have. -big time saver!

first remove pump assembly by removing clamps and hoses { place bowl under pump some water will come out} then remove two 1/4" screws that hold motor to transmission unplug motor and remove. coupler will be visible now simply remove coupler and install new parts. job took about 25 minutes.

I first diagnosed the problem using the 'Find part by symptom' feature, then ordered the part (fast shipping!) Then I found a great tutorial on YouTube by a user called TheApplianceMan who did a very thorough but straightforward job explaining how to replace the direct drive motor coupling. I've never attempted this type of thing before and was intimidated at first, but it ended up being a breeze just following the video. My husband couldn't have been happier that we saved what would've been several hundred dollars to buy a new washer, and at least $200 for an appliance repairman to do it!

Looked at other peoples repair on website, and kind of followed their lead. Did not have to unhook water lines from pump. Other than that follow other peoples repairs.

My model was not featured on the video. It's probably too old. I had to remove a side panel and turn the machine on its side. I removed the pump and took out the motor, replaced the old parts and reassembled. A lot of time was spent trying to figure out how to access the motor and pump. Also, the metal ring used to strengthen the part made it difficult hard to put on the shafts and time was spent trying to properly seat the motor back in place. This part didn't solve the problem. But the machine runs quieter.
