Removed the two screws holding the mount and then reattached the two wires to the element.

Turn circuit breaker off.
Two screws detached the unit.
Another two screws to disconnect the wires. Reversed above operation for installation.
Turn circuit breaker on.
All fixed!

Turn off circuit breaker. Release bake element from back of oven with a phillips head screwdriver. Remove bake element from heating wires with an adjustable wrench. 1/4 nutdriver was a little to big large for the old screw. Do not allow wires to fall back into the installation. Reverse the procedures for installing the new bake element. Most difficult part of the repair is having old eyes and not being able to focus on the work site which is about 12- 14 inches from your eyes. Young people with good eyes no problem. Oven heats like a new unit.

having read instructions from previous PartSelect users it was a snap. Nutdriveer, and screw driver were the only tools needed. This was a wall oven and the most difficulty I had was getting to the nuts with the door open. I really didn't want to take off the door.

Used nut driver to remove old element and screw driver to remove power leads. Reversed process to install new element. Took about 5 minutes.

Removed access screws from bake element cover, removed screws retaining wire connections on bake element, reverse procedure, and heat to burn off contaminants.

Took out the old (removed 2 screws holding the element to the back of the oven, disconnected the 2 screws attaching the electrical wires to the element). Decided to clean the oven with EasyOff. It took longer to spray this on, and then later wipe it up, than the repair itself. Reversed the procedure for the new element. A very simple repair - my wife is amazed!

I read your website repair testimonials by previous customers and used that advise to do the job. I liked the suggestion to use something to attach to the unattached wires so they don't slip back into the unit. I used two clothespins. I had one stubborn electrical connection to disconnect so it took a little longer -about 30 minutes. But it was a simple job to do and my oven works fine again. The item was delivered timely from the order date and packaged well. Thank-you!

New element arrived in a couple of days! We turned off breaker to oven, removed the old one which only involved two screws. Then we had to connect new one and re-attach metal square, only tricky part was getting the metal square positioned correctly but that was really not hard, just made sure insulation was covered and plate went back in same position. If we had called a eepair company it would have taken a week or more and probably been expensive!

several months ago the bake element in my oven started cracking. When it started sparking I knew I had to replace it or get a new oven. I ordered the part and it was easy. The old one fell apart as I removed it. I honestly don't know how it was still heating. Anyway, all I did was turn off the electric to the oven, then I had to remove to screws that attached it to the wall of the oven. That was the hardest part because I couldn't see them well so I had to put a lantern in the oven. Then I had to pull it out enough to remove the screws from within. Then I just reversed the process to install and everything worked great! Saved me a lot on calling a repair man.

On thanksgiving day, as we were pre-heating the oven, electric sizzle, sparks and a little flame comes from our 24 year old oven. We were able to get dinner on the table and that evening I went looking for what I thought was going to be a difficult to find part. But I found the part on partselect. I ordered that evening and got it on saturday. Installation was a snap. The most difficult part was the nuts holding the wires were stuck on from time and heat and I worried about the wire from the small plate to the coil might break. A little wd-40 and a few minutes and they popped right off and right back on. Works great now.

Easy! Removed the screws, took out the damaged element, reversed the process with the the new element. I called in my order on Monday and Wednesday evening the oven was repaired! It doesn't get any better than that. Thanks for the great service.

The part was ordered on a Friday afternoon. It arrived the next morning! Threw the breaker, removed the racks, removed the old element and put in the new one. Done.

Took the old one out and replaced with the new one. It was just awkward to get at.
