Easy! Removed the screws, took out the damaged element, reversed the process with the the new element. I called in my order on Monday and Wednesday evening the oven was repaired! It doesn't get any better than that. Thanks for the great service.

Turn off circuit breaker. Release bake element from back of oven with a phillips head screwdriver. Remove bake element from heating wires with an adjustable wrench. 1/4 nutdriver was a little to big large for the old screw. Do not allow wires to fall back into the installation. Reverse the procedures for installing the new bake element. Most difficult part of the repair is having old eyes and not being able to focus on the work site which is about 12- 14 inches from your eyes. Young people with good eyes no problem. Oven heats like a new unit.

having read instructions from previous PartSelect users it was a snap. Nutdriveer, and screw driver were the only tools needed. This was a wall oven and the most difficulty I had was getting to the nuts with the door open. I really didn't want to take off the door.

several months ago the bake element in my oven started cracking. When it started sparking I knew I had to replace it or get a new oven. I ordered the part and it was easy. The old one fell apart as I removed it. I honestly don't know how it was still heating. Anyway, all I did was turn off the electric to the oven, then I had to remove to screws that attached it to the wall of the oven. That was the hardest part because I couldn't see them well so I had to put a lantern in the oven. Then I had to pull it out enough to remove the screws from within. Then I just reversed the process to install and everything worked great! Saved me a lot on calling a repair man.

I have to admit that I tried to remove the element myself but I did not have the right tool for the last two screws. If I did it would have been very easy. I ordered the part and had someone else put it in so I cheated.

I read your website repair testimonials by previous customers and used that advise to do the job. I liked the suggestion to use something to attach to the unattached wires so they don't slip back into the unit. I used two clothespins. I had one stubborn electrical connection to disconnect so it took a little longer -about 30 minutes. But it was a simple job to do and my oven works fine again. The item was delivered timely from the order date and packaged well. Thank-you!

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires and replaced the two wires that hold the element in place. I received the part within about 36 hours after placing order.

Took out the old and put in the new! Easy and inexpensive repair (especially because my husband did it!)

First of all let me say, I am grateful you are supplying parts to an oven made in 1984. I noticed the crack the day before Thanksgiving and immediately started looking for the part because Thanksgiving was the least of my worries. I have a countertop broiler to cook the turkey and dressing in but I am catering a huge party in a week and really need the oven in top shape. Due to minor surgery I have not made the repair but I want to say thank you for getting the part to me on Saturday right after Thanksgiving. Wednesday to Saturday with a two day holiday is incredible. Thanks for the great customer service.

shut off circuitbreaker.removed two screws.kind of hard since screws were 25 years old and were tight.then i removed the oven door and pulled out the elementout and removed two more screws that held the wires to the element,then removed the element and replaced the new one and screwed it to the wires and thenthe next two screws that held the element in place. turn on the circuitbreaker and it was a miracle it got hot!

Removed two screws to release the burner, then two screws to disconnect the wiring and replace them. Then inserted the burner int position and replaced the two screws which were removed to remove the burner.

Very easy, however you will need a flashlight to see by since the back of the oven is rather dark.

Turned off power at breaker and removed old element and replaced new element.

Turned off electricity at fuse box. Unscrewed old element and removed. Put in new element, screwed it in. Turned on electricity. Voila.
