ACB6260AS Amana Wall Oven - Instructions

After turning off the power to the oven, I first removed four screws under the face of the control panel (open the oven door and look up). The entire front face of the control panel then slid out. I then unplugged the two sets of wires that led from that piece to the main oven (so that I could lay the front panel on the counter) taking care to remember where they would plug back in.

I then unplugged two wires from the clock assembly. Next, I unscrewed the clock assembly (an approx 3 inch by 5 inch assembly that is screwed to the very center of the control panel) using a small ratchet wrench set (they are hex screws). I then replaced the broken clock assembly with the new one, plugged it back in, plugged the front panel back into the oven, slid the panel back into place, and replaced the four screws. Turned back on the power. All done! 10-15 minutes.

Just take care to get the correct clock assembly for your model of Jenn-Air oven. There are several different versions that are not interchangeable.

I removed two screws holding the element in place. Carefully pulled the element from its mounting throught insulation to expose the two wires connected by electric wire clips. I removed the clips and searched the part online using google. Part Select was provided as the top source. I ordered the part and it was delivered in two days. Taking care to thread the connection through the insulation, I was pleased to have installed it in about 5 minutes. All tools were still out and ready for use. Thank you for your service

Took screws out of the back on the side the sensor was on, unplugged it & took out the two screws on the inside of the oven to release the sensor. Put new sensor in place with the two screws & used one of the adapters to plug in the new sensor. Put screws back in the back panel & turned on the oven which unfortunately is still 50 degrees low. Need a new clock with computer which is out of stock & unavailable. I was an electrician for 25 years so didn't experience any problems. It was a cheap thing to try.

Turned off breakers to oven. Removed two screws that held oven in cabinet. Removed oven door by opening slightly and pulling up on door. Pulled oven out 1/3 of way. Took out four screws on top of control panel. Took oven light switch off by unscrewing holding ring. Removed temp knob on right by pulling. Removed start / stop knob same way.Removed glass straight out. Removed four screws that held elecrtonic clock conrtol board. Unpluged three wire plug from right side and the nine wire plug from the left side. Worked board out at and angle. Went backwards to connect and replace board, screws and door.Slid oven back in and tested oven after turning breakers back on, worked like new.

I ordered the temperature sensor after watching the video and seeing how easily it could be changed out. Unfortunately, they don't tell you that it may be necessary to access the part from the back. When I tried removing the sensor from inside the oven the connection separated before getting to the hole. I tried for 4 days to try to fish out the other end. Finally, I had my brother help me remove the oven from the wall and take the back off at which time we were able to connect the new sensory. It turns out that the wiring is on the upper right hand corner of the oven and the sensor is on the upper left hand corner and the wiring is rather short. I am a 64 year old female and do the majority of repairs around the house myself, but due to the weight of removing the oven I enlisted the help of my brother. After removing from the wall the rest was a breeze. Just wish the videos or written info on the website was a little more clear as to the different ways of accessing the damaged part.

My wife help take the door off. It was a little heavy . The door came apart very easy and went back the same way.We save over $300 by doing it our selfs.

Replaced the thermostat according to existing videos and had to adjust the thermostat using instuctions in the user manual for model CWE4800ACB.

I installed the new oven sensor but the problem continued. So I ordered a new relay board and installed it. Still no luck. So I pulled the new board back out and started trouble shooting it using my electronic background. I discovered the new board was using a pin for L2 that had no exit on the backplane, so I removed it and installed it where I believed it should go. Reinstalled the power relay board and presto. My oven is working lie a champ. Louis

Open oven 220V circuit breaker. Take top and bottom Phillips screws holding panel. Turn panel and use an small flat blade screwdriver to pry the two small electrical connectors out freeing the panel from the oven. Place panel on a table. With thumb and index finger push lightly towards the inside the two vertical branches of sank long U type plastic holding flat ribbon and try to gently lift the U. The U doesn't come out all the way, it only needs to come out enough to free the ribbon. I broke the legs of the old one trying to bring it all the way up, fortunately the replacement has a new U. The assembly PS2077427 is removed and replaced after freeing the ribbon. When placing ribbon back, the very small hooks on the plastic U need to engage the two little holes in the ribbon to bring the ribbon down and grab it so it makes contact. The rest is easy.

Got a bent metal coathook to temporarily release the oven door, removed the screws from the old probe, inserted the new one, and hooked it up, using the one of the plug adapters provided. Problem solved! The oven door latch was now disengaged, the oven would now accept temperature inputs, and the rear cooling fan (which wouldn't shut off) now turned off. That's a lot of things working better for less than $50!

First we cut the power from the double ovens. Then we removed the two screws holding the panel in place. We just had to unplug three different cords from the electronic panel, then switch it with the new one. We reconnected all the wires, screwed the panel back in, turned the power back on and the electronic panel was glowing brightly. What an easy repair job that saved us hundreds of dollars! Really straight forward. Removed 4 screws on panel and 4 srews holding circuit board, unsnapped ribben connectors and replaced.

Unplugged the range, removed screws holding the old sensor. When I pulled it out, the wire connecting to the sensor was completely broken through,therefore I could not just pull the wire to get to the connector. Unscrewed one side of back panel to access the connector. Pushed the connector and wire of the new sensor through the hole ( and behind the insulation), disconnected the old sensor and connected the new one. Re screwed the new connector in place plus rescrewed the back panel. Plugged the range in and - Viola! Everything now works like a charm and I have my oven back. Easy-Peasy. Oh - I am an older female with very limited DYI experience. I just saved myself $650.00!

installed part,turned unit on-temp still cold. reset digital control, up 35 degrees, still cold. un-plugged unit,re-connect after 10 min. still cold.

Turned off power to oven. Unscrewed panel to expose digital board. Disconnected wire plugs. Removed digital board. Replaced new board and reconnected plugs. It really was that easy...
