Rotary switch had finally worn out and was brittle and broken on our 30 plus year old trash compactor.
Removed the switch knob, the outer nut, and the front plate.
Unplugged the old switch from the 3 wires and plugged them into the new switch and put it back together with the new knob. Probably less than 5 minutes.

Rocker switch was not operating properly
Took the 2 screws off the front, popped the switch out, copied the wires on to the new switch, and put it back. New switch does not have a light, so had to eleminate one power wire, put it back together, and it worked just like new.??

2 of 3 crew connectors on old handle broke off, making pulling action of opening compactor wobbly, loose.
1. Loosen screws to remove old handle. 2. Insert new handle into position, align holes on steel backing with connectors on back of handle. 3. Screw on 3 screws, beginning with middle, then left & right. 4. Tighten to firmness. 5. Close & open to test for installation compketeness.

Handle to compactor cracked and broken
Super easy - removed the TOP three screws from behind the door. Wiggled the handle out pulling upwards. Slid the new handle in and screwed it back into place. More importantly I had my part the very next day - AWESOME. Thank you.
