BRS70HRBNA00 Whirlpool Refrigerator - Instructions

Remove back side cardboard access cover. About 6 dcrews need to be removed. Remove 9/16” bolt and lower compressor tray frame down to slide out wheel axel. Place wheel in slot and replace axel. Lift compressor tray and replace 9/16” bolt. Replace cardboard cover. Remove 2x4.

I simply removed the old switch by gently pulling down on the old switch with a screwdriver. When it was about half way out I just gently pulled down on the old switch and it popped out... I removed the two connectors attached to the old switch by pulling on the connectors with a pliers...I tried using my fingers but wasn't able to pull the connectors off so I used pliers. It worked perfectly.. When pulling off the old connectors, make sure you attach the new switch to the same tabs on the new switch... It was very easy to do and took under 5 mins.....The light switch works perfect....P.S. You should unplug the frig while making the connection just in case....Safety first....!!!

inserted a knife between the switch and the plastic interior in order to pop the switch out.
then took off the 2 wires on the old switch put them on the new switch and reinserted the switch into the plastic interior.

It was so easy. I had no idea. My husband and I were directed to your site and we ordered the part with scepticism but with hope that it would solve the problem. As soon as it came in, my husband installed it in five minutes. It was working immediately. Thank you.

1. Tried to unscrew the bolt that held the broken coupling.
2. Had to have daughter hold on the plastic spinner on the other side so that the bolt would unscrew and not make the whole mechanism spin.
3. Screw came out.
4. Put coupling in place.
5. Put screw back in and tightened everything up.
Really easy, once the screw actually began coming out.

I used the computer to enter the make and model of the refrigerator with the icemaker unit. We looked at the diagram to identify the name of the part and then ordered it. It was sent out the next day! We received it and installed it and it works perfect!

I removed the switch housing (4 screws), replacing the switch in the housing was a snap. It took 5 minutes, cost $8 and light works like new!

Why didn't I order this part and do the repair earlier? Very simple.

Emptied the ice holder, then removed the two screws located in the bottom of the ice holder. they were holding the metal cover in place, once removed I was able to remove the entire rotating ice prongs which moved the ice into the chute. I had to do this because the screw that held the coupling on could not be removed (too tight) Once the entire rotating device was removed I could easily remove the screw and replace the entire assembly.

While trying to get my icemaker to unjam (ice all stuck together) I broke the coupling under the ice bin. Shouldn't have tried to force it, but you learn from experience...
I found the diagram of what I needed to order on the website and ordered the part, which arrived in about 2 days. Dumped the ice out of the bin, removed the screw that held in the broken coupling, replaced the coupling and replaced the screw. Put the ice bin back into the freezer door and Voila.. ice dispenser works again.

Very simple fix, remove 3 screws, two connectors to the old switch

I took a chance and ordered a switch that is next to the top of the door. looked for how to remove it easily done in ten minutes works fine last long time.

The light rocker switch wasnt working. I found the part on the web site. It was so easy. I used a screw driver to pop out the old one and pop the new one in. It took 5 min. Thanks!!!

Simply cut the water tube on both sides of connector and push in the new one.
