No ice from ice maker
valved water off
removed back panels from refrigerator
disconnected water supply line from solenoid
disconneceted outlet to ice maker
disconneceted outlet to water for the door
removed solenoid valve
replaced water line to the ice maker
installed new solenoid and reconnected water lines. Valved water on and pressure tested and put back panels back on. This is a very easy job and if you live in Tennessee your valve will eventually stop up. The first sign will be smaller ice cubes and then no ice cubes.

Ice maker stopped working. Thought it might be the timer. Actually teflon coating coming off.
Removed the ice maker. Used a small mirror (wife's make up mirror) to find the screws. Inspected and found most teflon coating missing. Ordered new ice maker and installed. Works perfect.

refrigerator not cooling properly
Replaced refrigerator cooling control. No luck. Replaced freezer cooling control. No luck. Coils were icing up. Unplugged frig and allowed coils to defrost. After more poking around, found that condenser fan was not spinning. Touch it and it'd start. That was definitely in need of replacement. Replacement was easy. Refrigerator is now running as it should.

Leakiong water from the freezer compartment into the lower refrigeration compartment
After unplugging the appliance, I unscrewed the screws in the bottom and the back of the freezer compartment and un-clipped the connector for the ice machine, which i do not have installed. I clipped the pink and brown wires and replace the switch with the new switch. unfortunately, the appliance is still dripping water from the freezer compartment. It worked for a couple of days then stopped working. Still looking for a true FIX.

freezer constantly covered with ice not defrosting
I opened rear wall inside freezer (two screws) cut the wires on old thermostat and removed it. Then I attatched the new thermostat to the existing wires using wire nuts and electrical tape and slid it onto the copper tubing. Re-installed the rear wall. Freezer works like a charm and the refridgerator is also colder. Job completed in twenty minutes and Tim Allen has nothing on me. Mike Milne

The light would not turn on when the refrigerator door was opened
I removed the plastic portion to get to the switch and wires. I removed the old switch by disconnecting the two wires and pushing it out of its setting.

I discovered the old switch only had 2 prongs where the new switch had 3. Once I figured which 2 of the 3 prongs would light the lightbulb,
I then connected the two wires to the correct prongs of the new switch. I pushed the new switch into its setting and replaced the plastic portion on the refrigerator. Voila, success. The refrigerator door now comes on when its door is opened.

Thanks for the having the part and getting it at our door step in 3 days.

Auger in the ice tray not turning
Removed ice container, replaced end cap that holds Auger shaft that connects to shaft that turns the Auger. End cap plastic nubs wear where it makes contact to the turning stub. Removing a few screws on the front of ice container allows the Auger shaft to slide forward and away from the end cap. Maneuver end cap from shaft, replace using same maneuver and that is it.
Pretty easy, even for a novice like me. A $6.00 end cap verses the whole assembly at around $70.00
I'm pleased.......

Water Fill Cup Broke
The Ice maker unit had to be removed and the shaft had to also be removed, which required dis-assembling the motor drive. The thickness of the shaft and the bearing fill cup prevents it from simply pushing it in place. Other than that I have Ice.

Front Grill was missing when we moved in and I noticed the left clip was missing
Well first of all the grill was not only missing a clip on the rleft side of the fridge, but after recieving the new one I studied teh one still on and noticed that the plastic stand off that holds it was busted off. So I got the handy dandy junk screw box out and found a screw that fit tightly inside the plastic standoff center and screwed the cip to the grill that way.
