water inlet valve
real easy to install and it works fine. However, the problem was more complicated. The circuitry on the ice maker on the back side of where the gear that rotates the harvesting fingers had places that were not making contact. I took a dart, yes, a dart from my dartboard and pressed the copper contacts down so they made contact and all appears to be well. Well at least until tomorrow. yikes.

The light went out
I pried the old one out with a screw driver and pushed the new one in. I expected instructions in the box it came in but there were none.

Switch was not working after a repairman had fixed something else
Please bear in mind I am 65 years old & it was harder to get up & down off the floor then to change the switch. Was very easy - watched video, unplugged unit. I used the putty knife at the right front corner to work loose, when it came loose had to loose the left side a little. The unit pulled out easily. detached the wired that had a single plug with 2 prongs on it. Attached the plug, pushed new switch into place. There was no way you could place wires on wrong prong. When done, plugged refrigerator back in & checked if working. I CAN SEE THE LIGHT and the food in the freezer now. Thank you for making an easy repair.

Light switch which turns on the lights when the door opens went out
This is an easy fix, simply remove and replace. What I was impressed with is that a how to video was provided along with my part. I wish all manufactures would offer this, the video was easy to understand and you had a good view of the operation. Thanks, a job well done.

The ice making got slow.I replace the ice maker in December 2012 and it marginally until it stoped completely January 2014.
The Amana You Tube video explained and demonstrated how to isolate the problem. After finding the problem I ordered the Water Valve on a Sunday and I installed it Tuesday morning in about ten minutes.

Light in the refrigerator didn't work
I did exactly as the video showed. I popped out the old switch, disconnected the two terminals, connected the new switch and put it back. The light now works! The refrigerator is over 25 years old and the switch works! What a great website this is. Couldn't of done the job without Partselect's help.

My evaporator fan motor quit working
This was an easy repair just simply removed a handful of screws to remove the back and top panels making the fan motor accessible. The whole job took about 30 minutes.

Freezer seal was broken
Thanks to some reviews we found online about replacing gaskets, ours went very smoothly. One person said to soak the gasket in hot water, which we did til it was very soft. Installed like a breeze. Then, the same person said to tape the door closed after installation, we did that too. The gasket looks like it was professionally installed and we have never done it before. Thanks!

Existing Door Gasket Was Leaking and Deformed
I followed instructions, both supplied with gasket, and some I found on-line. Pretty easy - loosen screws holding existing gasket, remove existing gasket, install new one, tighten screws. [TIP - I didn't soak new gasket in hot water before installing - definitely do this to get rid of the "wrinkles" caused by shipping. Throw it in a tub, and let it soak.] The problems I had to iron out were AFTER I installed new gasket. Door alignment shifted, so I loosened all gasket screws, realigned, and then tightened. Then door was not closing (it had dropped for some reason at the handle side), so I had to loosen hinge bolts, push up door, and re-tighten. I had to do this 3 times before door closed right. I also had to heat two sections of the new gasket with blow dryer to smooth gasket. After about two days, the gasket was sealing perfectly. No condensation in fridge, no leaking out bottom. I estimate by putting in a $100 gasket, I saved over $1,500 because my wife was ready to get brand new fridge. Good luck, and be patient if door needs to be realigned. Also - gasket may still have small gaps even after you install and heat it - give it a few days to conform to fridge before trying heat again.
